What if Coruscant was destroyed?What would be a great name for the new capital of the Galaxy?

I think Republika would be nice.

Or maybe they could use one of the names GL was originally going to use for the capital of the galaxy.Had Abaddon anyone?

i'd say it'd have to already be established. to go from Coruscant--probably the MOST established planet in the GFFA--to nothing would be too drastic. plus, it'd take too much time to build enough buildings to house gov't officials and the Senate

Yes, they can fly billions or trillions of people for decades or centuries to a planet of unknown location known to be inhabited by a race of extremely aggressive and powerful individuals and set up a galactic capitol there...

If they actually destroy Coruscant in the New Jedi Order books, I will lose all remaining interest in the books. I am already annoyed about Chewie's death and of course them killing Jimmy in Star by Star is just pathetic. Ithor was such a beautiful and interesting planet, I am ticked it was destroyed. If they destroy Coruscant then that's it. Give the books back to Bantam. This is turning into Babylon 5 or some other ridiculous sci fi pulp.

In a far-future fan-fic I wrote where the capital was no longer on Coruscant, I created a planet called Republica.
