Rogue One What If the Rogue One Team had existed in Star Wars Legends?

I'm working on a personal fanfiction project. It's a Star Wars Legends AU in which the characters introduced in Disney's new Star Wars canon exists. Now, in a universe where the participants of Operation: Skyhook (Kyle Katarn, Rianna Saren, Bria Tharen, etc.) were responsible for stealing the Death Star plans and managed to transmit the data to the Tantive IV during the Battle of Toprawa, is it possible for the characters of Rogue One to exist in the Star Wars Legends continuity? If so, how would the characters be portrayed? Similar or different?
