FF:QLD what if ??????

what if GL decided to make a star wars series do you think that it would ruin the whole star wars universe and do you think it would be better if he made it about the usual charactors or like tales about all sorts of different things ????

 

Opinion is extremely divided about this. I personally think it could work, but the concept would have to concentrate on an obscure spin-off type of thing, and make only subtle references to the main characters - sort of like the X-Wings novels, with the central four only mentioned casually on passing, or sharing a minor scene in there somewhere.

 

yeah, it would have to be based on other ppl than the usual. maybe if it were set 1000 years before the originals or have it based on the comics like the golden age of the sith.

 

It would be spiffy though to see such a thing.

 

I'd love to see an X-Wing series. Although frankly, the only character from the movies I'd put in would be Wedge...

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. Even though I think Lucas has already sold out by tailoring his movies towards 5 year olds. I'm losing faith with the prequel trilogy very quickly.

Back on subject...I am in agreeance with Silmarillion. A series could really suck. In my opinion, the novels and comics have already ruined the movies for some of the older fans. They may not see this but because of the books, fans tend to analyse everything way too much(even I'm guilty) when they should just see the movies, even the prequels as an outlet for fun. Not for scientific examination!

 

I reckon there's enough crap on TV already without a dodgy spin-off SW show. Doesn't anyone remember Young Indy (yawn).

 

RE an earlier comment about Star Trek and selling out: Remember, it was a TV series long before it was a movie.
