I voted 90 new cards. I like to build surprise decks, and this is a bit hard to do right now.

Not yet. We know there are some new abilities and Mace Windu and Darth Maul cards. I imagine that we would see a list very sooon, since the release is just over 3 weeks away.

I want to see a card for the Hailfire (hoop wheel) droids and the small spider droid. I also want cards of the gunship and AT-TE walkers with pictures that are actually from the movie (unlike the cards that were released with Attack of the Clones).

Also, a card for the giant one-tread tank droid used by the Techno Union (this was cut from the movie, but is pictured in the Episode II Visual Dictionary and is also present in the Clone Campaigns Galactic Battlegrounds expansion).

I've been quite lucky recently - bought 4 starters and got Yoda (A), Yoda (A) foil and Darth Tyrannus (A).

Also picked up the Darth Maul unleashed figure, which comes with a promo card for the (B) version. Impressive pic on the card.

The ability of the Darth Maul (A) version has been speculated on in other forums as being very useful as well - anyone got any details?

I voted for more cards to build more diverse decks. It stinks when you play with your friends and they all have the same basic deck types.

Blues, you got a Yoda A in a starter?
You really got lucky becasue that isn't supposed to be there, someoen messed up in the factory or whatever it is they call the place they're made. That's pretty cool for you!

You also got a Yoda Foil AND Tyranus? That is not right, unless you meant that you got four starters and some boosters.

Sorry all - I meant boosters...

I was a bit tired writing the above.

Although I was lucky - Yoda (A) and Tyrannus (A) were both from 5 card boosters.

    I bought 2 5-card & 2 11-card boosters.

Sorry again - work stresses me to the point of collapse - which is when I get time to post, hence the mistakes.

There will be an Aayla Secura card too! :)

The next SW Insider is supposed to have a Sith Rising Encyclopedia. I hope it is like the one for AOTC in the SW Gamer, becasue that was really cool. I know alot of people who went and bought it to use as a checklist.

TCG is the card game that wizards of the coast makes right?!

Yes. It can be confusing but TCG stands for Trading Card Game and CCG stands for Customizable Card Game. They are two very different games and are not compatible in any way.

Generally speaking at the basic level, a TCG and a CCG are the "same thing", meaning the basic definition of what they are is the same.

What's the deal with SR? They're releasing Aayla Secura, but no Qui-Gon Jinn.

I'm curious- has Sith Rising added any new gameplay mechanics or new card types to the TCG? Or is the main catch of this expansion just the inclusion of Maul and new "mains" ?

I'm all about getting 90 new cards to work with. I'm really glad they've got the new expansions coming out so soon.

There are two new abilities. Stun and Overload.

Stun reduces your opponents power if you damage it.

Overload lets you take damage on your own unit to get a huge boost of power.

There are a few new strategies as well with the new card base.

This is a mainly Episode 2 set with a little bit of Episode 1, but no Qui-Gon yet.

I suspect they have a full TPM set up their sleeves, and THAT's where we'd see Qui-Gon, young Anakin, Padawan Obi-Wan, and others.

The latest Insider does indeed have an SR encyclopedia very similar to the AOTC encyclopedia in Gamer #10.

And the new set looks really spiffy. :)

For more thorough discussions, I recommend looking at RebelBasers.com. :)
