Out of the ones I've played, Republic Commando.

 

What system? PC or X-Box would be KOTOR. Gamecube would probably be Rouge Leader. And PS2 would be...Battlefront II?

Thats not as 'by category' as yours, but its a better list for fitting the subject. EaW is a great RTS but I woulndt recomend it as the best SW game, because people dont want an RTS when theyre looking for a star wars game to try. I think for your first game you should get Republic Commando, then Battlefront II, then Kotor. I think youd get the most enjoyment out of that. Unless your'e specifically looking for saber action. In that case, go JO, BF2, Kotor

Even though this is an older one and I have played many games with better sound, graphics, etc, I still love the original Rogue Squadron for the N64; especially, the codes that allow you to fly the TIE Interceptor. Also, there were just certain missions I would play over and over and over.

 

Rebellion--if you have patience.

 

Rebellion, KOTOR 1 & 2, and Dark Force 2 - Jedi Knight.

The Kyle games went from Cool (DF1), to awesomeness squared (DF2:JK) to dumb (JK2:JO) to dumber (JK:JA).

Knights of the Old Republic was good in my opinion, but not great.

I don't care what anyone else says, I liked Shadows of the Empire for the N64
