Battlefront 2 is my favorite game, and if you have internet connection, it makes it even better.

You shouldn't get your hopes up. I really doubt the idiots at LucasArts will make a Star Wars game for the Wii. Just look at the Gamecube. Not counting LEGO Star Wars 2, the most recent game for it was Rogue Leader.

And, I have to say the original Knights of the Old Republic. But only once or twice through.

That doesn't matter to the suits, duh. The suits want money, they (sometimes) don't care about the gameplay.

The Wii offers what many Star Wars fans have been after since 1977 - the chance to 'fight' with a lightsaber that you control - Lucasarts would have to be very ignorant to pass that up.

    A correction to darthnave:

You seem to be forgetting Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, and Star Wars: Rebel Strike(Rogue Squadron 3)

And besides, the Wii is most likely going to outsell the PS3, the same way the DS is outselling the PSP.

More consoles means more people to play the games. There will be a Star Wars game on the Wii, it may not be the one all of us are thinking of, but there will be at least one.

Anyway, back on topic, all the games I mentioned above are excellent.

My favorite Star Wars game would have to be Tie Fighter (though I enjoyed all of the X-Wing series almost equally as much).

I also really like Empire at War (mostly the FoC expansion) and the Jedi Knight series (including Dark Forces). Battlefront 2 and Republic Commando are great games though I wouldn't rank them as high as the others I've mentioned. KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are fun but I got bored of them after I beat them. Not much replay value there, IMO. Rebellion is also a classic though I haven't been able to get into it for a while now. I guess EaW is taking up my Star Wars RTS time at the moment. :)

Other than these games, I've never much enjoyed the Star Wars games. I've never been a fan of the console Star Wars games (aside from Republic Commando of course) for a variety of reasons.

Re-read my post, I said that the, "most recent game" to come out on the Gamecube was "Rebel Strike".

Too many of you seem to either forget or just never played Rouge Squadron. It is up there with the best ever. Only KotOR, Battlefront, and Republic Commander are better.

Rogue squadron were good games, but they weren't great. Gameplay stayed quite the same in all episodes.

I loved the N64 Rogue Squadron mission where you would fly through all of those canyon's chasing TIE Inceptors, etc; especially when you could choose a faster ship to do it like the Naboo Starfighter or the TIE Interceptor.

rogue squadron felt like the deprived man's x-wing/tie fighter. Sure it was good but not a patch on those.

Darth Nave, re-read your post, you said the last sw game released on the cube was rogue leader, not rebel strike

Okay to put the Gamecube releases argument to rest, here is the GCN Star Wars Lineup, in order of release date, with spaces to seperate years:

Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II - 11/09/01

Star Wars The Clone Wars - 10/28/02
Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - 11/20/02
Star Wars Bounty Hunter - 12/07/02

Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike - 10/15/03

    LEGO Star Wars - 10/25/05

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy - 9/12/06

So darthnave is somewhat correct, however he forgot that the Gamecube did (eventually) get both Lego Star Wars.

I have to say Jedi Academy is the best Starwars game since it gives you a choice of either Light Side or Dark Side.

One of the most fun if you have several people to play with or if you just like shooting games, is Battlefront II.

I didn't notice anyone else suggest it, but I still find myself playing through episode III and enjoying it. The multiplayer isn't great, but if there isn't many people to play with, it is something to think about.

These are the only star wars games I have played:

SNES: Among the trilogy, it's Super Empire Strikes Back. If you have the debug menu, go to the last level: Luke vs Darth Vader. And believe it or not, I played these games before I even saw the movies.

    PS2: Battlefront 1 & 2, I like them more than ROTS, but I'm glad I have all 3.
