What is the most stupid complaint you have heard about AOTC?

That the fireplace scene was
the worst of the movie!
It was extraordinary!
Padme was irresitable as
always and who can blame
Anakin for saying things
like "your in my very
soul tormenting me"!
I surely would too
if I had a crush
on a girl like
that!
Which I have

But this review is pretty dumb
I knew it was gonna be good when his first complaint was that Amidala was using the same spaceship she used in TPM! ?
Some "critics" really shouldn't be allowed out to see movies on their own.

The dumbest thing I've heard is the whole shtick about Yoda and his cane.
O.K. class let's review the force. Yoda's flesh is weak and dying but he is alive with the force and can use it to make him faster, stronger, more agile etc. He goes back to the frail old man when he's done because if he used the force all the time he would either go to the dark side or have a heart attack from constantly trying to focus.
Didn't we learn all this in the OT?

 

Someone disliked the chair in Padme's bedroom at the start of the film - there's a whole thread about it somewhere on this board

 

Stupidity is plentiful amongst the vitriolic forums of AintItCoolNews and the awful EmpireOnline.Anyways, these are arguably the stupidest things i have read since May 16th:
"there weren't any fast closing doors!" (!?)
"there wasn't enough smoke in the corsucant bar"
"there was no decent bad guy" (Jango,Palpatine,Zam and Dooku!?)
"the story was too complex for a Star Wars film!"
"the story was too formulaic"

 

The people who complain the "clone wars" shouldn't have involved actual clones really annoy me

 

"There was no Han Solo"

 

"What happened to Jabba?"

 

A few posts up, DarthHomer hyperlinked this movie review already. I think it deserves a second post.

This website, which I have never heard of, features an incredibly dumb review of Clones. Don't misunderstand me: I think someone can watch Attack of the Clones and not like it, even hate it, and still have intelligent reasons for feeling that way (although I would respectfully disagree).

This review is something different. The concept of "paragraph" seems alien to the reviewer. The review is ridiculously long (which is longer: the review or the AOTC screenplay?) The misquotes from the movie are hilarious, as are the "bad points" about the movie: how the heck can Boba Fett have the same spacecraft that his father had? Hey, chief, after you figure out what a paragraph is, you might want to tackle the concept of continuity.

Please check out this review. Like Plan 9 From Outer Space, it's so bad...it's good!

That review really needed a proof-reading. He thought Captain Panaka and Captain Typho were the same guy, for pete's sake! I mean really!

 

Yes, there has been a lot of really bad complaints about this movie.

On the other hand...

There has been some pretty bad reasons posted as to why it was GOOD!

 

oh this is easy,
it's the guys who COMPLAIN that people are dumb for not liking cerain aspects of this film.
fireplace scene
dialogue
riding the animals
how ani never really shows any flashes of brialliance in a fight(sure he was good but no better than any other jedi)
and so on and so on

 

"The hyperspace ring on the Jedi Starfighter was an unnecessary CGI shot!"

The same people would probably complain if it wasn't shown that it was another example of the technology in the PT being better than that in the OT!
