I'm gonna go with DJ. SBS was all action packed and got me all geared up and ready for more, but when I read DJ it seemed like the brakes were put on full force. I mean there was hardly any real action in it. I guess I was expecting more from the book. I was looking forward to going deeper into Jaina's Dark Journey. Just a little disappointing.

Do any Jacen fans like DJ? Are they jealous of a SOlo book not focussing on him or something?
Actually, if I remember correctly, I-poodoo & Balance_Point loved DJ.

And I liked Conquest and loved Hero's Trial - couple of SW books that didn't feature Jacen. ;)

For me its a dead heat between DJ and BP.

On the flip, if anyone cares, I think the two best are SbS and VP.

It was a pretty tough choice, but I went with Star by Star. The plot was terribly illogical even by NJO standards, and the book dragged on and on with so much repetitive violence.

not really ready for a list right now .. but I guess I really didn't like 'Balance point' that much. Leia getting her leps chopped off .. what's this a remake of the Texas chainsaw killer ?

Jacen acting like a total << censored >> except at the last few chapters. I like the gyu, but BP really destroyed whatever good opinion I had of him. :(

DJ was .. not what I expected .. as somebody already stated it SBS put the NJO on full thrust forward and DJ really slammed in the breaks. ok ok ok there's a time for fighting and a time for grieving but .. was there any grieving in DJ at all .. besides the succint descriptions of the secondary characters faces (not even feelings) there was nothing.

ahh i think i'll get the list going anyway.

    WORST
    Balance point
    Dark journey
    Agents of chaos duology
    Dark tide duology
    Vector prime
    Recovery
    Star by Star
    Edge of victory duology
    BEST

    something like that ..
couldn't put SBS as best 'coz .. well I still am full of spite for having my favorite character dead (and I'm not talking about Borsk)

there is no death, there is the Force

I'm a Jacen fan and I liked DJ, RF.

As for the worst I put Vector Prime just because it presented the new direction the NJO was taking from the direction of the Bantam line too abruptly. For me it was like being in the Falcon with Han making evasive manuevers. You're going one way then before you know it, you're thrown back into your seat and headed the esxact opposite direction you were before. That's fine for evasive manuevers but such an abrupt change in a story should be built up to gradually IMO.

    Dark Journey

Hapan... for those who like their story. I didn't like The Courtship of Princess Leia as well.

In all the previous book, we discovered something new about the Vong society, but in DJ, nothing new arrived from them.
