Yeah that would and perhaps even inject some of that black humor the Vader run of comics had.

 

I wonder: Were there any clones in Vader's squadron?

 

No idea, though I'm curios to know what Vader thinks about clones post-ROTS. It would be something for Vader to encounter someone like Rex.

 

I like the Legends idea that Vader was the one Imperial who stuck to clones.

My favorite line: "I am alternating the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further."

My favorite moment: When he throws the Emperor down the pit.

Also yes I really liked how Vader seemed to be one of the few to have respect for the clones in the Empire.

I wonder if Vader and Tarkin were supposed to be conspiring together against the Emperor in 1977. Tarkin calls Vader "friend" and in the unrevised fourth draft, Tarkin says to Vader, "This operation will secure my place on the Emperor’s council. With the right maneuvering, I could be Emperor. The rebel base will soon be destroyed."

 

I haven't read too much into the older drafts of ANH so I really wouldn't know. Though what you read indicates Vader and Tarkin conspiring could have easily be what would have happened.

 

You're talking about the upcoming arc in the comics? I've been waiting for that patiently and eagerly. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Another thing that I would like to know is how exactly Anakin's 501st was transformed into Vader's 501st? Who survived the Temple raid? Or were they all killed and this is a completely new 501st? And if that's the case, why keep the name 501st?

 

Indeed that would be interesting. That also reminds that I wouldn't mind a more detailed look at Operation Knightfall from ROTS someday.

 

Well day 2 of Celerbration is over and I thought I'd ask what you guys think of the new stuff that's come out? Also any thoughts on that Darth Vader VR thing their doing?

It's hard to choose a favorite line since there are a lot that are great (including when he says: Then you will die braver than most) but my favorite has to be: The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am. honorable mention to: "I find your lack of faith disturbing" and " I've brought peace, freedom, justice and security to my new Empire" (no suit but technically he was no longer Anakin)

and best moment probably would be his conversation with Luke before dying in the second Death Star
