I really angared the Legends Comics: The Lost Command. It really makes Vader looks like a idiot, making him lose all his mysticism and mistery. Totally different from the new Marvel comic. Thanks god its not canon anymore!

Curiously, I feel the most disrespecful episode to Vader in Star Wars media was TFU, and both were under the direct supervision of Hayden Blackman. It´s completely down to personal taste, but I´m with you 100%: Marvel´s Darth Vader comic was far, far more enjoyable!

 

The Marvel comic was absolute perfection in all respects. I was stunned.

 

Oh yeah... A good thing about Disney is that they taking care about the character of Vader. I'm reading Lords of the Sith and he looks okay also...

As testament to the respect that Vader gets thru Disney, there's a video out there of a Disney parks show where Vader delivers the line from ROTJ, "If you won't be turned, then perhaps she will." They have a child from the audience come up to be the "she." The video I'm thinking of shows the little girl saying, "Yeah, sure! Let's go! Dark Side..." She actually kneels before Vader. Priceless. Couldn't have been scripted!

That little piece of bantha poodoo annoyed the living daylights out of me. (I watched her in an interview). Couldn't stand the little....

 

That's her! I thought it was too cute for words. Brought a smile to my Sithly heart to see her giving herself so early and so willingly!

Yes, it was cute. It is nice to see that there are those out there not brainwashed by Jedi.

 

Well, I honestly don't mind TFU to much because to me it is a video game. Like in any video game, the protagonist is an overpowered wish fulfilment character who can dabble in the awesome darkside but come back from it, romance a beautiful girl and beat every baddy in the universe. I liked how clever Vader was and how he outsmarted Starkiller at every turn.
TFU would have been fine as a noncanon addition but for some unfathomable reason they made it canon.

You summed it up perfectly! it´s game logic at its finest, it really would have been better as non-canon. Still, if I can use an earlier game (like my favorite Jedi Knight) as an example, there was no attempt to present Kyle Katarn as the strongest Force user in history, nor Jerec as an unstoppable force of evil. They worked within very logic, in-universe parameters, and it worked fine to me.

Instead, TFU presented Vader as pretty much not daring to face his all-powerful apprentice, to the point that, when he is finally forced to do so, he loses in such an ignominious way that he´s even stripped of his armor. Even worse, it´s stated that he was never the bad guy at all, Palpatine had engineered the whole thing and Vader was as much of a pawn as Starkiller (who, of course, kicks the Emperor´s ass in retaliation).

To be fair, it was also the source of some pretty incredible Force feats from Vader, and TFUII worked to make him look better I think, but to me the damage was done... and anyway, he still loses in that one, ha.

Yes! it was the whole deal; game, novel and comic book if I remember correctly. It was meant to be something like the new SOTE, I think...

 

What is TFU? I dont know those abbreviations because I am new in the subject)))
