This just occured to me: what exactly is Vaders helmet supposed to be made out of? It looks like its just fiberglass/plastic, which of course it actually is, but the thought of a plastic-helmeted sith lord doesnt really seem all that frightening. An iron mask would have seemed appropriate but his helmet obviously wasnt forged in steel. Is there any sort of EU explanation?

I guess its probably made of the same material as his chest armor. I'm sure if there is an EU explaination it'll be something along the lines of a super-strong polyplastic or something like that, but that just doesnt seem very impressive to me. I never really thought about this before.

I would presume it's made form duraplast. Same stuff used for Trooper armor.

Nope, got to agree with the whole chocolate thing here. I wonder if he has one with Rice Krispies in it?

It wouldn't be surprised if it was duraplast. I wish it was made of Cortosis though if your going to include EU.

Plasteel or Duraplast. I'm not even sure if there's a difference.

Although I'm laughing hysterically at the chocolate idea, I think a more realistic guess would be to say some kind of resin/plastic mix.

maybe those dark spot things on Vader's head are really places where the chocolate melted onto his head...

Luke burned it at the end. He should have thrown some marshmallows in there too.
