Others call it a computer, to me it's an expensive heat generating game machine source of unlimited entertainment.

....and my link to the outside world....
I'm told that someday I'll be allowed to leave my cube. Hope they bring me some sunglasses first, heard it's bright out there.

I voted for the XBox just to put it on the board. :p

I'd probably have to agree that in terms of number of great games SNES is at the top of my list, followed closely be the original Playstation.

Xbox!!! Especially with games like HALO, Enter the Matrix and Ghost Recon. [face_love]

But I always loved my old Atari 2600. Also, I was the only kid on the block with the original Sega Master System. No Nintendo for me, Sega all the way!

"Mortal Kombat for the Sega Genesis is the best video game ever."

"I disagree, it is a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever"

    "Donkey Kong sucks!"

    "YOU SUCK!!"

lol, anyway, NES is probably my most played system, but I LOVE my Sega Genesis. PS2 us up there too. SNES was great b/c of Chronotrigger and Street Fighter 2 was better on that than Genesis...but overall I preferred the Genesis.

I do have to give the Genesis some major props for one specific game.

Shadowrun. This game on Genesis was a total friken blast.

NES all the way! It's the only system that made everyone look stupid by blowing into the cartridges hoping that would make them work.
Take the game out, put it back in. It's not just a video game console, it's also a work out machine!!

    Oldest console trick:
    Space Invaders - Atari 2600
Hold Reset while turning on & rapid fire occurs for you on 1st mode game.

    Oldest Purposely placed trick:
Atari Adventure (or was it venture)
    The MAGIC pixel
Game with dragons, castles & a bridge.
Bring bridge into a specific castle, to a specific spot.
cross bridge, go over & down 1 board.
always in the same spot is 1 pixel that is an item you can pick up.
Bring it to a specific room in game.
    Wall flashes.
    Pass through wall.
It says something in the room.
    Thats it.
There is a PC convert (no emulator needed) that takes the pixel to some scary lengths.

    Littlest known old trick:
use for 2nd grenade in Raiders of Lost Ark.
I saw a friend many years ago do it.
there is a specific wall you can bomb.
it opens to a room with a clock (i think)
and if I remember its a bad pixel signature of indiana jones.
The clock was part of a contest.

    Useless game info:
the 4 bosses in Street Fighter 2 have different names in the japan version.
Cause M. Bison really stands for Mike Bison.
And the name is originally belonging to the black boxer. (poking fun at Mike Tyson)

The stage of him has the famous Golden Nugget casino in the back.
BUT! there are cars parked behind the fighters as well.
If thats so..what casino are they REALLY fighting in front of?
    Binon's Horse shoe.
(I was in Vegas and looked for myself)

3rd world countries were (are still?) making Atari 2600 games throughout the 90s!
Its so cheap of a system to make & sell now that even countries who barely have TVs can make & sell it.

    In Street Fighter (the original)
The ONLY way to beat the last boss, Sagat (2nd in command in #2)
was repeated Dragon Punches. (forward + 1/4 circle forward + punch)
Hence the scar across Sagat's chest in every other version.

    Anyone else?

And why wasn't Commadore 64 on this list?

Ok so it wasn't a "game console". But was it really used for anything ele? :p

No that's my bad...in the endless varations of the atari, etc. that's the one I forgot. And considering it's the only one we owned cause it was a hand me down and my parents would NOT buy an atari...MYYYY BAD!! :p ;) Shame on me for forgeting the coolness that was Commodore 64. I need to pick up another of those. That and an Apple so I can play my Goonies (floppy disk) game on it. :D

    For future reference:
    Atari/Colecovision/Intellivision/NES/and Commodore 64 ;)

Even with all those consoles tied into one option, SNES still holds a high rank!

The reason they are all together is several of them could play the same game.
The reason NES is in there too is that I couldn't chose between the two (NES/ATARI).
