What is your favorite comic series and character?

What is your favorite comic series and charater or charaters? Mine are most all of them.

My favorite comic series is Ostrander's run on Republic/Jedi; Quin is my favorite character therein. After that probably TotJ: Rememption, then probably the X-wing books or the Classic SW stuff.

 

I also like Quin and Ostrander's run.

EDIT: The Kir Kanos comics (Crimson Empire, Council of Blood and Bounty Hunter: Kenix Kil) are a close second.

 

This is turning into quite the Quin/Jan/John free love-fest...but I'm afraid I'll have to join in. Make room.

This, along with the Marvel series, and the Goodwin/Williamson newspaper run.

 

Dark Empire and Dark Empire II were good also.

 

I love Ostrander's portrayal of Dooku in the Republic/Jedi comics collected in CW Vol.4. Man, that part where he gets Quinlan to read Tinte's memories - "She is just another object." - just kinda sums up Dooku's Sith aspect for me. And Jan's art is wondeful in them.

DE is a sentimental favorite. I loved Cam Kennedy's art in them, all blues and greens. Luke's look and characterization were cool, with this idea that he just has to know what was so tempting to his father about the darkside. Plus, the magazine-sized editions that I believe were UK imports had a bunch of cool background info printed after the story about things like Bodo Baas, Vima Da Boda, the nature of the Force, events of the TOTJ series, etc.

 

X-Wing Rogue Squadrion, In The Empires Service Particually, thats unrivalled quality boys.

 

The Goodwin/Williamson LA times comic strip, with Republic as a close second.

Their art, dialogue and plot were all commendable.

And someone please tell the characters to stop calling each other by their full names!

Rogue Squad has been the only series not to.

Yea they are all great works. I love the Republic series and it's artwork.

 

I'm generally not interestedin EU, usually just ignoreing that stuff. But with one exception. I really enjoy "Republic" comic serires. They perectly match the style, story, characters relationships, etc. (Probably to best would be Defence of Kamino and Last Stand on Jabiim).

I don't have one special favourite character, but obvioulsy I like the subtle development of Palpatine, slow introduction of Bail. From the new figures I like especially thisnew Whiphid Jedi master.


I was only a bit disappointed with the new locations -they tend to be rather repetetive. Probably the most elaborate, distinctive and unique world would be Thustra from "JEDI. YODA"

Anyway I enjoy most of them.

 

Forgot about Republic, that's easily one of the best.

 

I love the Thrawn Trilogy comics too.

I'm also joining in, but adding Kahleen in there too, she isn't in them enough, what about her working with Tholme? Is she still reporting to him? hopefully she'll be in the 3 coming up.

 

Any series in which The Dark Woman shows up is my favorite as for character well The Dark Woman

 

All the Clone Wars related comics, they've been simply amazing. Quin gets the nod for favorite character, because his story has been the best part of the comics.

 

The entire Republic run, the Jango Fett miniseries. All good!

 

I'll have to chime in with another vote for the Ostrander/Duursema/Quin Republic run.

I was never really into comics until I read those.

I am a fan of the Star Wars Tales series My favorite characters are Quinlan Vos and Aayla Secura from the Republic series, although I suppose Aayla is no longer considered EU since she's in the movies...LOL
