What is your favorite EU book? Mine is Star By Star. I've read all the books and most are somewhat good except for the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy.

Um, I think SotE was the best actual book of them all, but Rebirth is my personal favorite, even if it isn't that nice.

It would probably be Star by Star, The Bacta War or Wraith Squadron.

I will assume you mean "books = most common Bantam or Del Rey novels" to make things easy and limit the field a bit. (and I'm also not including the children's books). I'd have to go with something like this. I should note that outside of the top three, except for a few major exceptions at the bottom of the list, there's not much separating all of the rest (i.e. #30 could almost just as easily be #6). It's like #6 is #6.00000, while #7 is actually #6.00001

The following was just a bad Star Wars novel, and I can't consider it a "favorite" by any definition of the word (even my 57th favoite SW Bantam/Del Rey novel):
Hand of Thrawn: Vision of the Future

I would most likely derive more enjoyment from being kicked in the jimmies than reading VotF again. I've had the unpleasant occasion to have had my jimmies grazed by a football once as well as having read VotF once. Even extrapolating the increased force from a kick hitting the target solidly versus a football hitting the target region, I can honestly VotF was the more painful experience. I think I could read VotF to overwhelm the pain of a root canal, making me forget I had one. [face_plain]

I'm changing my vote to "Vision of the Future" just because I think Genghis12 should have said "Han Solo Adventures" and stopped.

I agree. VotF would have been the perfect conclusion to the SW saga and the EU if they hadnt decided to move forward with the NJO.

Im glad they did, though. :)

I have a bunch of favorites; it's hard to rank which is more favorite, so here goes, in no particular order:

    Wraith Squadron
    Iron Fist
    Solo Command
    Heir to the Empire
    Dark Force Rising
    The Last Command
    Starfighters of Adumar
    Spectre of the Past
    Vision of the Future
The Shadow Academy arc of the YJK

Okay, so they kinda came out in chronological order after all. Still, my favorites.

    Hmm... my favorite EU book...
That's a tough one, but i'll have to go with Edge of Victory I and II (I because Anakin is basically the main hero in the story and II because it marks the beginning of Anakin and Tahiri's relationship).
A VERY close second is Shadows of the Empire, because in my humble opinion it recaptured teh "good old days" of the originol trilogy like no other book managed.
Finally, I really liked Vector Prime, so that is in a close third. I honestly felt like I was watching a movie, I could almost see Jaina evading those Z-95's at the beginning of the book, and Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin weaving in and out of the asteroid field in the modified TIEs. Well, that's my list.
