Here's a new poll that covers the entire saga. Apologies if your favorite pre-ROTS cue is no longer on the poll. I dropped the four choices from the old poll that only got one or two votes. I was surprised that some of those amazing cues didn't get more votes.

Anyhow, I've added the cues from the opening scene of ROTS (militaristic statement as Obi-Wan and Anakin fly into battle), "The Tide Turns" (which is tracked into ROTS as Anakin is landing the Invisible Hand in addition to its TPM use), "Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan" (the dual force-push), and the "funeral" rendition in "Padme's Destiny" (similar to "The Funeral Of Qui-Gon"). I left off "A New Hope" because that beautiful french horn basically reprises "Binary Sunset".

For the many other wonderful choices...

EDIT: I finally realized how great "Binary Sunset" is. Voted.

For me, it is The Throne Room. It's one of the best statements of any Star Wars theme, in my opinion.

Nothing tops that upbeat, militaristic, bombastic, brassy Force Theme with those pounding, offbeat string notes! :D

Well, "Binary Sunset" and "Light Of The Force" are musically very similar, but very different in the context of their place heard in the saga. The new cue in "A New Hope" has Luke in the same setting as eighteen years later...

And enough people distinguished between these two cues in the last poll that I felt it was worth keeping both on the new poll.

And even though I probably listen to "The Throne Room" more than "Binary Sunset", I put it second. Probably because I love the sentimental quality of the Force Theme. But there are so many great Force Theme cues, it would be almost impossible for me to make a top ten list. The opening of "Revenge Of The Sith" is right up there.

    "Binary Sunset".

But I still love Attack of the sandpeople, as I said in the other thread... c'mon, it's the first time we meet Obi-Wan. Didn't it give you shivers when used in the ROTS teaser?

I love Binary Sunset and militaristic Revenge of the Sith, but I chose Padme's Destiny. I guess it just resonated more with me

It has to be the binary sunset scene. Whenever I think about this theme that scene is what comes to mind.

I love the action Force Theme cues from The Tide Turns, The Arena ("She would do her duty") and The Revenge of the Sith. And for me, there are few things as stirring as the three times (AotC, RotS, ANH) that we hear Binary Sunset. But Light of the Force carries the most power, in my opinion.

For me, it has to be Light of the Force. If taken as a whole, it's the first time in all six movies that there isn't a Sith trying to dominate all. And all it took to accomplish was the deaths of everyone who was a major character in the PT, with Anakin being the last. It's the symbolic end of the saga and I love it.

I voted for "The tide turns". I love the mix of the force theme played over the Duel of the Fates ostinato rhythm. I wish Williams had played more themes over that rhythm.

I also rather like it's use in "The Levitation" from RotJ, which is saddly edited short in the film.

For me, it's definitely Light of the Force. It's just such a defining moment for the saga. When you hear that at the end and picture all that's happened throughout the movies and all the other numerous times the Force Theme has been played, it's just so satisfying and emotional hearing it played so powerfully for the final time. And when I say this, I mean the rendition heard on the soundtrack. It's a shame they replaced it for the scene in the movie.

Binary Sunset and The Throne Room come in second and third, respectively. These are also great moments, because Binary Sunset is the frist time you hear the Force Theme play out fully, and The Throne Room version is just so upbeat and joyful.

Oh yeah, and arrival at Utapau is the best unreleased cue. I want my Ultimate Edition ROTS soundtrack!

The first statement of Light of the Force is unused, right? That one made it my favorite in the last poll, not the second one that's really awfully close to Binary Sunset.

But now, I don't know. I'm torn between Light of the Force, Revenge of the Sith and Escape from Cloud City. Well, and after Sithy's gushing, Throne Room, too.

I will have to meditate on this.

I loved the militaristic version of The Force Theme in The Revenge of the Sith from the very first time I heard it. Most of the Force Theme reneditions we had heard before were very smooth, flowing, and basically pretty. Now we have this bombast, upbeat, controlled arrrangement that we really haven't heard in that style all too much. That change in style from the usual made it that much more fun to listen to.

I picked Binary Sunset since it is the first time we have ever heard the Force Theme and the most memorable for me. I do enjoy listening to many of the other cues, especially The Throne Room and The Light of the Force.
