Wagner: the Ride of the Valkyries (not quite sure about the name)

    It's from The Ring.

I myself would choose "Siegfried's Funeral March" by Wagner (also from The Ring).

There is such wonderful music to choose from. I cannot narrow it down to just one song. I enjoy Swan Lake, but also many works by Beethoven and Chopin.

Vivaldi's Four Seasons. In fact, I'm listening to it right now while trying to get my baby to sleep. :)

The Blue Danube. It is not only an important piece musically, it has a place in Movie History

Of those, Pictures at an Exhibition. Carmen by Bizet ranks way up there, as well as the Moldau, Night on Bald Mountain, Peter and the Wolf and several others.

I have to say that my all-time favorite piece of classical music would be Gustav Mahler's Symphony No.6 (the "Tragic"). It's just a really unnerving, intense, emotionally overwhelming piece of work. In fact, I'd have to say that the finale (the fourth movement) is the only piece of classical music that has the ability to genuinely terrify me!

Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 4 by Corelli.

This is a lovely double violin concerto that was also a joy to play for my senior concert. I love Corelli, and most Italian composers.

However, Chopin and Gershwin are my other two favorites, along with Satie. Beautiful piano romanticism!
