What is your favorite ROTS track?

1)Tie Anakin vs Obi-Wan/Battle of the Heroes

2)Palpatine`s Teachings

The ANH/End Credits is sad to listen to because you know there will be new Star Wars after listening to it

 

I like the Immolation scene alot. kind of warm and cold feeling at the same time which makes it very special. . .

Battle of the heroes, Padmé's Ruminations and Anikin's dream are my other favorites.

 

The music has SO much more meaning after having seen the movie.

To me, the music is great in the way it was used-it built anticipation.

The use of "Anakin's Dark Deeds" was unbelievably powerful when they show Anakin on the bridge of Mustafar-just after he killed the separtists and when a tear is running down his cheek.

 

I have like three, but I will only say two.

I voted for the one with no votes.

Birth of the twins/Padme's destiny...

wow. Now knowing what the funeral music is playing to, wow, it blows me away, big time.

BOTH is my favorite track as well.

Then I love the immolation scene. wow.

Padme's Ruminations & Birht of the Twins/Padme's Destiny

My second is "Battle of the Heroes".

I voted for Anakin's Dark Deeds, but Anakin's Betrayal and General Grievous--an instant classic in the JW action canon--are very close behind.

 

I voted for "Anakin's Betrayal." I love "Battle of the Heroes," "Anakin's Dream," "Anakin v. Obi Wan" and "Birth of the Twins/Padme's Destiny," but after seeing the "End of Wars" TV Spot, and subsequently, the film, I've really fallen in love with this track. It's haunting and beautiful, a great track.

 

why is the music from the opening sequence not on the soundtrack?

 

Anakin's betrayal. Except I accidentally voted for BotH, which I abhor. Is there any way to change it, or am I stuck with it? Bah.


Padme's Ruminations is also a favourite.

IMO "Battle of the Heroes" and "Anakin's Dark Deeds"

 

Hmm, after thinking some more, I might lean towards "Anakin's Betrayal".

This scores the Order 66 sequence with a "Dark Side Beckons" quality.

 

I actually like the end credits best, when all is said and done. I really love Anakin vs. Obi-Wan, I really love Anakin's Dark Deeds, I really love The Birth of the Twins and Padme's Destiny, and a lot of the other music I have really loved since being able to put it into context of the movie (like Anakin's Betrayal and the Immolation Scene). But ultimately, I have listened to the last track on the soundtrack, with its rendition of Leia's Theme, melodic rendition of Luke's Theme, use of Binary Sunset, and then the end credits themselves, complete with the unused Throne Room music, which I think was an appropriate way to tie it all together. Sure, I would have liked some Imperial March or some other stuff, but I sill listen to this track more than any other.

 

Padme's Rumination, duh! So melancholy and wonderful. It reminded me of the Amistad soundtrack, also by John Williams.

 

Anakin's Dark Deeds absolutely floored me when I first heard it, there's no question that it's my favorite.

So am I. Knowing at that moment at the beginning when all the Jedi are being killed makes it very emotional. I like the comeback of the little passage that was used during the Naboo sunrise after anikin;s nightmare.

After watching ROTS I absolutely fell in love with the music during the platform confrontation at the end. It was very powerful and made the scene VERY emotional. My vote - Anakins Betrayal.

 

I love the statement of the "Imperial March" in "Anakin vs. Obi-Wan," turning that militaristic march into perfect showdown music. And it features "BOTH," of course.

 

why is the music from the opening sequence not on the soundtrack?

Most of it is. Except for the war drums (in the film, not on the CD), the track "Revenge of the Sith" is the scoring cue for the opening scene. I think.

 

I loved A new hope/end credits. It felt like OT music as if you were watching the opening scene of ANH not the closing scene of ROTS.
