    For those of you who are wondering, I mean the victory celebration that was introduced in the special edition of Return of the Jedi.

    This topic makes me wish there was a compilation CD of all of the main themes from the saga. Of course it would be fairly easy to make one from the existing soundtracks, but many of the themes don't have full-blown concert renditions and mixed in with other music on the same tracks.

    This was really tough. I chose Duel of the Fates over Imperial March. But all are good. JW never missteps.

    I loved track 15 of Revenge of the Sith, which was "A New Hope and End Credits". I even remember the first ever time that I had listened to the track on the day I got it, which was two weeks before Revenge of the Sith was released into the theaters, I was really surprised the end credits of Revenge of the Sith sort of combined some of the end credits of both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi.

    Fuchs this thread has nothing to do with tracks and which one you like best. This is a poll for themes. If you are not sure of the difference, I suggest reading the Film Music forum FAQ thread. :)

    My favorite Star Wars theme of all time is the main theme, because the theme is heard in the beginning of every single Star Wars movie from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi.

    Was a variation of Luke's theme ever recorded for Attack of the Clones?

    "Yoda and the Younglings" 1:46-2:00. Yes, it's a stretch.

    Love the Force Theme. Also, Battle of the Heroes (Anakin vs. Obi-Wan is a better variation) and Duel of the Fates are some of my favorites.

    But still, the Force Theme rules.

    * The Force theme

    * Across the Stars

    * Zam Wessell and the Coruscant Night Chase

    * Battle of Heroes/A Hero Falls/Anakin vs. Obi-Wan

    * General Grievous' theme

    * Princess Leia's theme

    * Han and the Princess

    * Luke and Leia's theme

    * Medal Ceremony

    * Palpatine's theme

    * The Asteroid Field

    * The Sailbarge Music: Original

    * The Sailbarge Music: Special Edition

    * Yub Yub

    * Special Edition End Celebration

    * Battle of Hoth

    * Lando's theme

    * Arriving at Bespin

    * Yoda's theme

    * Lapti Nek

    I find Duel of the Fates to be incredably overated. You get sick of hearing it in every single video game and prequel used over and over again.

    I hadn't voted in the poll yet so I wondered for a bit and hit Han and Leia love theme. Scrolling down through the posts I found a post by ME from sometime last year! I had forgotten that I had posted on the thread! And guess what... I still love the same theme! Why didn't I vote the first time...

    The Throne Room/End Credits from A New Hope would be my favorite.

    After that would be Luke's theme, and then The Force theme.

    I love all of them the same, but I voted for "Across the Stars" cos that's the only one I can play somewhat well on the piano.

    That's because it repeats over and over! :p I can play it too!

    Force-theme but the Imp March is actually DV's theme. They played it when the Queen opened parliament last week.

    That actually sounds to me more like a version of the last part of the Trade Federation theme (TPM OST Track 14 0:38-0:44).

    The main title does what its name suggests. It is the musical statement of everything Star Wars is about.

    As I posted on the CT board, three of the most powerful musical moments for me in the OT are renditions of the main theme:

    The main title is also a big factor in the 2 moments in the PT where I feel like I'm watching a real Star Wars movie: on the TF ship at the beginning of TPM, and when Ben brings Luke to Tatooine at the end of RotS.

    Really, that is the fatal flaw of the OT, musically speaking.

    Yes, it is "Luke's Theme", but it's also the MAIN theme of the entire series! It opens and closes every movie!

    Just as Ben's theme was expanded to take on the role of the "Force" theme, Luke's theme should have taken on a greater significance in the PT. It's such a heroic and versatile piece of music, and one of the greatest aural pleasures of the entire series. And let's face it, some healthy doses of that theme could've easily made Anakin a much more heroic figure and given us a reason to be sad when he fell to the dark side.

    Of course, there is a small part of me that says, "The crapfest of the prequels dragged so many once-good characters, themes and concepts through the mud; isn't it nice that one of the best pieces of the OT managed to go mostly untouched?":p
