That's just what's coming to me off the top of my head. In general, any rendition of the Force theme (esp if performed by french horns) and the Imperial March are my favorites. I love all of the SW scores, and John Williams is my favorite composer. It's hard to pick favorites.

I am shocked, then, that you don't have Binary Sunset on your list!

Well, the list was off the top of my head, so it's a small oops on my part. Binary Sunset is one of the best Force themes, along with the variation in AotC right before the Duel of the Fates reprise.

I have friends who have told me about sites where you can give your credit card number and buy a single track.

I would say my favorite tracks in each movie are:

TPM - The track that starts out when Darth Maul kills Qui-Gon - the horns sound amazing and I can hear Obi-Wan yell each time.

AOTC - Duel with Count Dooku/Finale - Hearing the pseudo-Imperial March, Love Theme, and the ending theme all in one track is cool (although I like the one w/the Duel of the Fates and Binary Sunset too)

EPIII - I know it's going to be the battle b/w Obi-Wan and Anakin - it should have Duel of the Fates, Across the Stars AND Imperial March in it. Goose bumps just thinking about it.

SW - Binary Sunset - Very cool, starts out soft and small and builds to a great flourish

ESB - The Rebel Fleet/End Title - This has to include the 15+ second part from Luke & The Force track, I like how you can hear the dialogue in your head with it. Plus, it has the Imperial March in it.

ROTJ - Funeral Pyre - It has both versions - film and symphonic - and it reminds me of that cool scene that Luke is silhouetted by Vader's funeral pyre in ROTJ.

 

I would say: Imperial March theme, Duel of The Fates, Obi Wan vs. Jango, and the Hoth attack.

 

The Cantina Band Song. Its a nice swinging song.

 

first star wars movie that i saw was the phantom menace so i loved duel of the fates
and the droid invasion the first music that you hear in tpm game i also fall in love with a noble piece of the tpm and it was

The two ultimate SW tracks are the Imperial March and Duel of the Fates.

Am I insane? I say this cause I like these new themes MORE than the Classic Trilogy ones, and the Main Theme is my least favorite theme of Star Wars.

edit: And the Imperial March. A brilliant tongue-in-cheek dark theme.

Without looking, I probably said "The Emperor Arrives/The Death Of Yoda/Obi Wan's Revelation".

Gosh, it's so hard to decide...

 

For me, I really like the Return of the Jedi Soundtracks, and especially these tracks:

Battle of Endor II and III,
Sail Barge Assault,also known as the Pit of Carkoon
Victory Celebration,
Ewok Celebration from the original 1983 Release.

If you notice, in Battle of Endor III at the 51 second mark, the trumpets miss a note.

I know these things, I'm a brass player.
