Although Maul should have won it, I voted for the episode 1 dual.

 

I agree! I would have loved to have seen MAUL stick around and maybe even a little duel to the death against ******************* and a couple of his sabers!!

Just a quick suggestion, some people are going spoiler free and don't want to hear about Episode 3 characters. I am pretty sure we have at least one member here going that route.

 

Not to mention any number of lurkers.

Sorry! not trying to put any spoilers out there. I just watched THE CLONE WARS animated series so that's why I suggested sabers.

This is so cool! I guess I should mention I actually voted for the EPISODE 1 Dual to. it was a personal tough call though cause I really do love the dual between VADER & LUKE EP6 ( I wish the battle was longer though!!!!)

 

yeah, I agree, Dave, but the choreography was way prettier in the Episode I duel, so it won out. plus... Qui-Gon! Yummm!

 

I notice nobody has voted for the YODA vs DOOKU duel, I guess my girlfriend is not the only one who didn't care for that one! I still think YODA has an interesting fighting froggy style

man its all about the vader vs obiwan in ep 4.

cause that is the first sign of how the force is really just about dieing in front of luke.

 

That is true about the FORCE as a dying breed at that point but as a young man when I got to see VADER and his abilities it was right then that I realized it's all VADER for me!!!

 

I voted Luke Vader ESB. I love that one because its so dark and scary. And Because Vader wins

I should mention that in ROTJ when Luke slices off the tip of the oncoming Speeder bike was some pretty Rad sabering.

I have to admit for sheer nerve tingling, nail-biting suspense the Maul/Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan duel was the best. However, there is definitely a degree of anxiety entailed in the ROTJ Luke/DV duel; a conflict made all the better by Mark's emotional display as he struggles against personal demons:

1. Giving in to the dark side (allowing his emotional attachment for his father to sway him) and joining DV.
2. Giving in to the dark side (anger and frustration) and slaying DV.
3. Taking the easy route out and letting DV kill him, thereby practically ensuring the end of the Jedi (which is probably why he thought of Leia and betrayed her existence to DV).
4. Killing his father without giving in to his anger and frustration, but then having to contend with the unknown quantity of the Emperor - Luke knew after their encounter that Palpatine was strong, but he had no idea just HOW strong.
