FF:NSW What is your favourite radio station and band

DSA I like a lot of different stuff. Dance, house, bit of Hi-NRG (if I'm in the mood for it), and I'm into UK 2-step Garage (especially Arful Dodger's stuff). I think I can listen to pretty much any style of music and find something I like about it.

 

station- 2 day fm( only in the mornings)
bands- powderfinger and linken park but i like all forms of music
fav song atm- in the end (linken park)

 

my fav band is Deep Purple. I listen to Triple M if any radio station....

I hate dance music and rap crap - no offence.

Does anyone know of local Star Wars clubs in Sydney? Can someone help me out here pls?

I really like HI-NRG music aswell

 

I prefer more trance and rave to hi nrg

but that's just me, although my brother and i have a collection of live music that is pretty good, he tends to keep finding 80 min long mp3's so they fit onto a cd, digital radio is very nice

 

I usually alternate between Triple M, 2DAY and Nova.

As for favourite band I love ACDC, INXS and Powderfinger.

I don't listen to the radio much, it all annoys me.

But currently on the CD player... Bluebottle Kiss, Dumpster, Something For Kate and Neil Finn... amongst others.

 

No offense Tek, but sometimes trance gets a bit boring (for me anyways). As you already know, I was into happy hard when I was in high school, so whenever I hear something like Paul Elstack or Ultra Sonic it takes me back.

Some tapes i've got have resulted in me getting on the train at motdale, getting out the walkman, and having no idea where i am till it arrives at bondi.

Them tapes are worth it, anything that makes time go faster

Bands? Garbage, Art of Noise, Beethoven (the composer, not that band), Debussy, and other odd 80's stuff which you lot where not even around for

Just kidding, how could you not like the 70's and 80's. AC\DC still rule, chisel had some of the best songs ever written about australia.

Meh, don't care for the Wild CDs anymore. They're not bad, but I don't wait for their release like I used to. They're up to 15? I didn't know that.

Who here has a favourite JJJ Hottest 100?

Number 5/1998 wasn't too bad (if that's the one that had the "car" theme)

I used to have the 2000 volume (number 7 - it had the "grubs" theme) but I lost that.

I'll be hanging out to see what they put on this years one.

I'm listening to JJJ Hotest 100 with the chillis on the front today. I don't know what number it is, but it has Hole, Beastie Boys (intergalactic), Korn (remix), Blink 182 (Josie), etc.....

Also, I think there was some kind of ghostly recall of certain JJJ cd's. Every one has owned a copy that just mysteriously disappeared !!

 

That one's number 6, Keith, I'm sure of it.

 

Dance is good because I feel it has a good beat to it.
