Let It Bleed. It has two of the three greatest Stones classics - "Gimme Shelter" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" (the other being "Sympathy For The Devil"). Also blistering, raunchy blues with "Monkey Man", "Midnight Rambler", "Let It Bleed", "Live With Me". There's Keith's great first lead vocal on "You Got The Silver". And the precursor to "Honky tonk Women", "Country Honk".

I'd pick Sticky Finger second. Tattoo You is an underrated album; side two is kind of their alter-ego from the hard driving "Start Me Up" and the rest of side one. It's fantastic.

Way, way too hard to pick. I voted for Sticky Fingers, which has the benefit of being close to the pinaccle of two different genres, namely blues and country. Also, Brown Sugar.

But Let It Bleed is a major, major contender. But then you listen to 40 Licks and you understand that just about every album is a contender.
