Discussion What is your greatest fear about Episode VII?

Even if Harrison Ford gave a half arsed performance, it would fall in with Han's laidback/arrogant attitude from Epiv-vi so wouldn't really be noticable.

My biggest fears are:
1) Aiming for big name stars for the main roles.
2) Cheesey cross overs to another franchise.
3) No evolution in the technologies, vehicles and weaponry.
4) Running the films as a trilogy, not stand alone films which can be enjoyed on their own.
5) Shoe horning lots of cameos in for characters that aren't organic to the story.

 

My biggest fear is that this movie if released in 2015 will have to compete against blockbusters that are coming out that year that are going to be good. starw ars is good ...but it lost some luster due to the prequels and it will have a lot to make ground.

Remember Star Trek Generations? I spent the whole movie waiting for the new crew to join up with the old crew. Then Kirk shows up for 5 minutes, trades some punches with one guy, fall off a bridge and dies. Totally lame and will never be a part of my Trek canon.
Please, please, write better parts than that for the big three! Don't waste them on something that's not worthy of them!
