New larder fridge. My old one gave me almost 25 years of service but it started giving up the ghost on Saturday. Repairman gave it last rites and the new one came a bit earlier. (For those not in the UK, a larder fridge is basically a small fridge without a freezer section. It's made to sit under a kitchen counter). The companion freezer to the fridge - same manufacturer, bought at the same time - is still going strong (knock on wood). Repairman is coming back tomorrow to install the new one so right now it's sitting in the living room. He said to give it about four hours to settle before turning it on so in a little while I'll put it on to get cold before I move the food from the old one and shut that down. (It's still cooling things but not very well. I might have to toss some stuff). Repairman is going to dispose of the old one for me.

I just bought a new regular fridge.

My old one, which came new with this house when I bought it 11 years ago, was dripping so much water that my fruit in the produce drawers needed swimming lessons.

Plus I needed something with a larger freezer compartment because my oldest boy has already started eating every meal like it's his last. (He's 10. The teen years are going to be interesting.)
