What type of microphone do you use for recording? Headset? Regular standup? What do you recommend, and what model do you like best?

Do not use a headset mic for recording dialogue for an audio drama. They are definitely not meant for that. They are meant for casual recording only.

Sony makes some decent dynamic mics for very little cost. You can buy them at Best Buy. The frequency range is pretty decent considering the price. The model I recommend is the Sony FV-420 which costs about $40.

Now if you want to spend a bit more money go get yourself an condenser mic.

I have that FV-420 and am very happy with it.

Right now, I have a cheap microphone from radio shack (I don't know the model). It was about $15 but right now I'm not satisfied with it (it won't be high quality enough for a radio drama). I think that Digital Llama Radio used headsets.

I've noticed that the audio coming from the mics used on Digital Llama Radio was very low. Kind of hard to hear at times. I'm hoping to get my own radio show going in the near future. So I'm finding this info helpful.
