I see you got the three pack set for Franz Waxman. Which score is your favorite of the bunch? Sunset Boulevard is mine, but Rebecca has its moments.

On a side note, I've gotten so many soundtracks since my last update...I should probably update soon.

Rebecca, though that's probably influenced by it being the only one I'm familar with from seeing the film. I'm looking forward to getting to know the other two better, especially Sunset; I love the Prelude!

    +
    Hooper, Nicholas
    The Order of the Phoenix

Same here...my fiancee has a sizeable soundtrack collection of her own (no, I'm not marrying her for her CDs:p) , and I should add those to my overall list; there's some overlap between our collections, but also some significant differences too, mostly in that her's is mostly focused on the last couple of decades, while mine is generally older stuff...

    Nicholas Hooper
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

    Nellee Hooper
    Romeo + Juliet

Fancy that. A Fiancee with a soundtrack collection. I've never even met a female that has heard of John Williams. Being 16 probably has something to do with it.

What do you think of Godzilla? I loved the promo and there's actually a lot of really great unreleased music on the limited release. It also has great sound quality and I really dig the sequencing of the cues that they did on it. Top notch.

It's great! I had never actually heard it before, and ordered simply because everyone said it was so good. Money well spent.

Star Wars Episode I: The Complete Recordings (4 disc set) -John Williams

Hearing the entire score really makes me appreciate JW's work for TPM. There are a lot of subtle themes and moments its a great set. Now if someone could only do the same for AOTC;)

The so called "recordings" are edits of a jwfaner, and quite frankly his edits suck and so does his "remasterings". My complete intended edition of the Phantom Menace is 10x's better than the guy who did the so called "4-CD" set.

Fair enough, but would you mind just going into a little more detail about the differences between your version and the one I have. Im just trying to study the music as best I can. Any discussion would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Gosford Park - Patrick Doyle

I don't know why it's taken me so long to get this. It's a wonderfully understated score from one of my favorite films (although, I can understand why many people loathe it).

    The Rock [Complete Score]

I also managed to find the three unreleased theme suites that Glennie-Smith wrote as demos prior to the scoring of the film.
