Like last year (only I'll have the audio hook-ups too) I'll be bringing my LCD projector, and weather permitting, we'll be watching a movie on the "big screen" in Jodo's backyard.

I figured at dusk we can watch Clone Wars, and our own Shwanzi has offered to show Chicago's own home-grown Fan Film: "Pathways" (as well as recruit performers for the next installment).

After which, we should throw in a full length Star Wars film to watch....but which one?

    Bosh

I have the original trilogy ORIGINAL EDITIONS on DVD if you're interested.

I could bring the promotional videos for Pathways (trailers, bloopers and the like), but the film itself isn't complete yet. I put together a promo for CIII that I could show, but only on a computer. I have no idea on how to author a DVD.

If anyone could help a brother out... please!

Oh wow. I haven't seen the original OT in years. I'd love to see the original ANH!

Well, if you're on a mac, the program iDVD will help you out on that one.

As for PC, I have no clue. I've only ever used macs for video stuff.

My PC came with some DVD software that allows you to author DVDs. It's really simple. I'm sure you can find such a program really cheap.

I actually voted for AotC...not so much that I think it's so great, but because it's obviously a good warm-up (especially in conjunction with Clone Wars) for RotS.

I'm always surprised to always find ANH as the 1st choice. It's like picking Vanilla....a great flavor...and the one all the other flavors are usually built off of. Don't get me wrong, I watch the OT once a month usually, though usually in the background while I'm doing something....stopping to watch the key parts. ANH is definitely the one with the most gaps in action (TPM being a close second).

Clone Wars would be good too... And what about the Holiday Special?

You know, I think I agree.
I mean AotC would be an excellent movie based on the fact that we will also be watching the Clone Wars saga.

However, if that were the case, it would make more sense to watch Ep. II, and then pop in the Clone Wars dvd.

On a completely related note, anyone want me to bring the Ghostbusters dvd?

    So...that's a no?

We save the Holiday Special for the CF Christmas party. ;)

Didnt Mark say during the road trip that he was going to play some movie because I had said I had never saw it or am I just delusional. Not that I am saying in place of any other star wars movie, just trying to remember.

    Nah, I think you're delusional. ;)

I voted for AOTC, based on the reasoning quoted above... and agree that it should be AOTC first, then Clone Wars (preferrably all of it, if anyone has 21-25 available somehow...)

If we do watch ANH, though, it should be the original version, which I'm sure several of us (myself included, twice-over) have in DVD format by now. ;)

I think due to the amount of time we'll have, we'll only be able to watch one movie and a couple shorts. Mark's neighbors may not be thrilled with watching moview till 3am (Mark's wife may be non-plussed about that too).

I hope to do some backyard movies at my house in June. We can stay up till 5am here NP.

Remember, we only have so much time between when it gets dark and when people start to leave.

We may not be able to watch Clone Wars 1 and 2, Howard the Duck, and the Holiday Special.

Dave brought up a good point. AOTC will be good for our warmup to Lucas' latest table scraps of ROTS.

But I would also like to see the Clone Wars, since the only time I have seen them was 2 X-Mas parties ago at Jeff's place.

I would have voted for AOTC, but I just saw that with tons of fans at CIII.

I haven't had the chance to watch ANH with all of you in a while. Jedi is my overall favorite, but there is something about watching that Death Star battle with fellow fans that I always love.
