Shwanzi....you need specific software to translate Quicktime files to Mpeg or other. I use a program called WinAVI for just that. It costs like $20-25 but it's worth it for the ability to download something in hi-res quicktime then turn it into something that can be burned to dvd. I'd transfer the new season episodes of Clone wars myself but my burner is on the fritz so it's pretty pointless at this time.

Thanks Dex... but I think I have an idea on how to change the file to avi... filter it through Adobe Premiere. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the tip though, because if this doesn't work then I'll get that program.

EDIT: My idea didn't work... so winAVI it is! And I love it! Thanks again!

No problem. It was a quandry that I had to look into myself about 6 months ago because I personally prefer downloading in a nice Hi-res and I like the ease of QT but the .mov format just doesn't transfer to other viewing options AT ALL. Glad you like it. I found it pretty easy to use myself too.

Why can't we watch all of them. Heck it's only Mother's day on Sunday, and I'm sure my wife would be happy to have me out of her hair.

I almost forgot. I have Star Wars: Musical Edition on DVD. This is the same production that was at C3, although this is a recording from its debut at MIT in 2003.

I have Clone Wars 21-25 on videotape, recorded from Cartoon Network.

Also, I have the bonus DVD that comes with the Episode III soundtrack. Those music videos are pretty cool.

If we go by the poll and the threads, it'll be Shwanzi's Reel, followed by Attack of the Clones, followed by The Clone Wars (as many episodes as we have on hand). Finally Ishtar.

BTW, rumor has it that Spock comes back to life in Episode III.

I'm sure the choice will ultimately be made when Mark asks everyone, "What movie do you want to watch?"

The movie will be decided by the short shouting match that follows.

You know what movie'd be great?

    Night of the Living Dead.

The original mind you, not the 1990 remake.

We'd be outside (weather providing), it'd be dark and spooky. Perfect to watch a classic horror flick.

This is the part where we try really hard to remember that we are a Star Wars fan group.

Even as a Star Wars group, can't we acknowledge our personal love for other fandoms?

I mean look at me, not only am I an SW nerd, but I'm also heavy into Ghostbusters....and....another fandom which is slightly more embarrassing than this one.

    You can dude. Don't worry.

If we're talking "of the Dead" flicks we should watch Shaun of the Dead aka the best movie of last year except for Incredibles.

I'm gonna grill(not on a bbq grill) you on proton packs dude. A couple of us going are really wanna make some busters costumes.

Heh, I may wear an item from my other fandom to the BBQ, but I have yet to decide if it will make me a laughing stock.
