As both a Gm and player I was wondering what if any new jedi prestige classes have been created or prestige classes Gm & players would like to see.

There are a few from the WEG system I'd like to see like Beastmaster, Artifacer(sp?), Shadows, and a few others.

I have a friend who just this last week was trying to make the Beastmaster PC. You want me to get his ideas?

I remember I saw a "Jedi Battlemaster" PC on swrpgnetwork.com. I wish there were a few in the NJO.

I know it is technically illegal/impossible, but I created a droid Jedi prestige class. More of a cyborg than droid to make it logistically feesible as the "human" aspect of the force. Its cool...

    wicket,

That brings up a good point though, I'd like to see how cybernetic modifications effect an individual's Force potential. If I remember properly, any drastic changes to the body (like a false hand, for example) decrease the person's Force potential. I'd like to see some system for that, as well as bonuses for such body modifications as well.

I think that that SHOULD have some kind of effect. OOOh!! Maybe there could be like some modifications that ENHANCED your force powers.

Yeah, I think WEG had something like cyber points that messed with the force stuff for a character.

Can you say Dark Side? Greed and a lust for more power are very strong temptations the Dark Side would surely seize to grab hold of a naive young Jedi... ;)

Well guys I don't have much on the Beastmaster, but here is what my friend says......

I came up with nothing definitive. Essentially, there is nothing, nadda, zip
to start with when working with WotC. There is some D&D druid stuff, but
really this does not fit the SW genre. So, this leaves the old WEG d6 stuff
and extrapolation of the current system.

In d6 there is a skill called Beast Languages. It is a Force skill based on
Sense and requires you to know Telepathy. For a d20 conversion you have two
options: Make it a feat opening the door to opening Beast Languages. Or, make
it a straight out skill with the same difficulties it had in d6. My preference
is the latter, however, the former can be used too. Especially if have the
feat allows you to use another skill, such as Handle Animal or Telepathy, to
    communicate with a Beast.

As for the d20 itself, there are only a small handful of feats and skills that
deal with animals. Makes sense, becaused after all this is Sci Fi. Handle
Animal is a skill which is only used by Fringers and Force Adepts. There is a
Feat called Animal Affinity that gives a +2 to handle animal and riding rolls.
(Pretty worthless.) Lastly, you have the force skill Friendship which can be
used to calm an animal. Using what you already have a person who is using
Friendship, Empathy, and Handle Animal along with the feats Animal Affinity
could specialize in working with animals.

To go beyong this you would probably need to develop a Prestige Class (PrC)
that would give some special abilities. My proposal would to make it a 5 lvl
class that opens the doors to Beast Languages as a class skill. IN addition
every few levels they would gain extra bonuses to Animal Affinity and/or
possibly specialization bonuses in certain animals. If you wanna do this, my
suggestion would be to take the Jedi Ace, or other 5 lvl PrC, and change out
    the special abilities.

Well, that is my thoughts. It can be done. It is just there is not a huge
amount to work with, and you can be effective working with animals without
    messing with a PrC.

    Laters!

[link=http://www.swrpgnetwork.com/entry.php?s=8532fb01ecd49dc8fc2cd65badbc4916&id=1016]This[/link] is SWRPGNetwork's d20 conversion of the Jedi Battlemaster from Tales of the Jedi. I'd like to see one of these guys in the NJO, showing everybody how the peace is kept - these guys invented that twin-saber stuff Anakin does in AoTC.

I'd like to see a Jedi historian, Jedi ministrel, or Jedi scholar class in the updated Core Rulebook or Power of the Jedi. Tionne, Tahl, and Jocasta Nu would be excellent examples of this class.

Hey, you never know! I can see him coming out with a leopard print cloak, rhinestone Jedi boots and an eagle feather sticking out the back of his hood. Tricking out Twi'leks sure beats workin' at Wal*Mart......
