ST What of Luke's GREEN lightsaber?

Will we see it again? Is this still Luke's primary weapon?

I hope it makes an appearance in future movies if Luke is going to be in them! I've always preferred the green sabers to the blue ones!

Good. The blue saber I associate with Luke training to be a Jedi, the green one I associate with him being a knight. Similar to how in TPM Obi Wan's (the learner) lightsaber is blue while Qui Gon's (the master) is green. I know this doesn't apply to all the movies, but still! Lol

 

He'll have the green one with him. Whether he'll ignite it in this film, tho, is another story. The blue one has more significance than just as Luke's saber, tho...

 

I doubt we'll see it ignited in Episode VII though.

 

Well, if Finn/Rey are brandishing the blue one, surely Luke has the green one.

Otherwise he ain't gonna have no saber. Which would be bad. And unlikely.

 

he builds himself a new one. In fact, he's set up a factory for the manufacture of new lightsabers, run by droids scavenged from the final act of Attack of the Clones. Long has this been a well known spoiler.

 

Personally I hope he does (if he even uses a lightsaber which I'm sure he will in the trilogy, however I don't know about TFA), because it was his own lightsaber he built himself. I always preferred it for that reason.

 

He probably has it still, he just uses the Skywalker Heirloom as a communication method for some as-of-yet-unknown reason

 

I really hope he still has his green one. I always preferred Luke's own lightsaber.

 

Oh yeah I'm totally sure we won't see it at aaaall during TFA, but as long as it's still in existence and he (or anyone else really for that matter) sparks it up again one last time before the end of the trilogy I will be happy!

 

It's the MacGuffin for Episode X.

Two reasons I liked the green lightsaber, first Luke built it himself based on his master Obi-Wan Kenobi's own lightsaber and secondly it has a green blade which just looked amazing out in the desert.

 

And that's the whole reason it was green. Green stood out more against the blue sky than a blue blade would.

 

Great decision to make it green. Worked on both a practical movie-making level AND a badass in-movie level!

 

I'm going to assume Luke still has it, unless 1) He built a new one for whatever reason, or 2) He's moved past the point of using lightsabers and relies solely upon the Force.

 

No he will be using someone else's, the running joke throughout the ST is that Master Skywalker always forgets his lightsaber

 

I think it's TFA's most closely guarded secret. Bring it on, haters.

Seriously, I'm sure we'll see it. It would be pretty odd to see Luke Skywalker, of all people, going around without his lightsaber.

 

Oh, good. So now I can dismiss the artifact collecting cyborg rumors. Cuz that sounds really stupid.
