What scene in the Classic Trilogy moved you because of John Williams' score?

When Luke finds the Lars place destroyed and the ending when they are fighting the Death Star.

 

The scene in ANH where Luke is looking at the corpses of Uncle and Aunt.

 

When Luke is looking at the suns setting. When Yode uses the force to left Lukes X-wing out of the sawmp. The last one is the ending of ROTJ. I believe there is more I just can't think of them right now.

 

WELL FOR ME THE SCORE THAT MOVED ME I HAVE TO SAY WAS THE FINAL DUEL IN THE DEATH STAR AS DARTH TELLS LUKE REFERING TO LEIA "THEN PERHAPS SHE WELL" THEN THEY FIGHT FOR SOME REASON THE SCORE IN THE BACK GROUND CAPTURED FOR ME THE SADNESS OF FATHER AND SON FIGHTING ALMOST TO THE DEATH, FAMILY PHYSICALLY FIGHTING WHICH I CAN SADLY RELATE TOO IN MY PAST SO THAT SCORE MOMENT I GUESS MOVED ME.

 

Darth Vader's Death.

The soft, recurring renditions of Vader's Theme gets me everytime.

 

The theme when Luke finds his uncle and aunt dead in 4, and the Special edition celebration music for 6.

 

ANH: When Luke is watching the twin suns set on Tatooine

 

Its the new "victory celebration" music at the end of ROTJ. Brings tears to my eyes. While I enjoyed the original version, this one is much more powerful to me.

In fact I'm listening to it as I type this.

Edit: Sorry, I just listed the music not really the scene. The specific scene I am referring to is where Luke looks over to see Obi-wan/Ben, Yoda, and Anakin; the new version with Hayden replacing Sebastian. I suppose it might be because of the music and the addition of prequel Anakin, but the music is definitely part of it.

 

"If you will not turn turn to the darkside then perhaps she will!" "No!!!"........................All of this music................... "Arggghhhh!!"(the yell of Darth losing his hand)

 

RotJ: Thrown room scene, just after Vader threatens to go after Leia and Luke charges in for the final showdown between the two. That might actually be my favorite scene in the entire saga.

 

My favorite score moments are these:

-ANH - the Throne room

-ESB - the Imperial Blockade

-ROTJ - the last part of the Luke/Vader duel, then the death of Palpatine sequence

Although, the BEST most magnificent part for me is the score at the end of ROTJ...That score finale, with the gong, and the chords...nothing compares...!

 

The Anakin replacement makes me want to cry, too.

 

The Imperial march has always given me chills so it wouldn't be any particular scene...just any scene in which that theme plays gives me goosebumps...don't ask why, I'm just a geek!

 

I'll give you credit for that one.

In the classic trilogy, I think the twin sunsets is a very moving moment. But the most moving scene for me is the final scene of the Empire Strikes back. Without a doubt the most emotional use of music I've personally felt. The way the ships move, the way the actors play it, the vastness of the universe and their momental task of moving on without Han, it is all very epic and emotional for me.

On a side note, most emotional music in the PT has to be order 66 in ROTS.

Most moving would have to be the final scene in Return of the Jedi. Expecially now with the new music. However, I don't like the addition of Hayden, I think having Shaw was much more powerful.

There's a few other scenes in the OT that I find very moving also:
ANH: when Luke finds Owen and Beru dead
ANH: Luke looking into the twin sunsets
ANH: Obi-wan's death
ESB: Yoda lifting the X-Wing out of the swamp
ROTJ: the final battle between Luke and Vader ("Then perhaps she will ....")

There's lots of them, but strangely a find a lot less in the new trilogy ....

 

I really liked the music for the scene when Luke discovers his aunt and uncle murdered by the Empire. The shift in sound when Luke sees them is catastrophic.

 

Agreed, this scene just needs no words with that amazing score going on during that last part of the Luke-Vader duel

ANH: Definitely the sunset; Obi-Wan reveals himself, especially if you just watched ROTS before; Death Star trench run

ESB: Hoth Battle; Luke vs Vader; Han in carbonite

ROTJ: Skirmish at Sarlacc; Emperor's arrival; Vader vs Luke; Final Duel; Palpatine's Death; Vader's Death; Death Star Core Strike; Funeral Pyre and Celebration Theme.
