TV Discussion What should Cad Bane's fate be?

Oh c'mon, I may be something of a TCW fanboy, but I've always been just another spiteful hater of all the "Special Edition" OT changes.

 

Even if a Toy bio from a couple of years ago said he lived on during the Empire, I think it would be more than epic and symbolic if he is killed by Boba Fett along with Aurra Sing. In that way the show could symbolize the death of the old era for Bounty Hunters + Aurra kinda has it coming in TCW's version of events.

Boba killing Cad would be basically the moment when the PT starts to end and the OT begins, even if there is ROTS after the show.

 

Aurra was still around long after Endor.

Course nothing is safe from retconning, but as it stands at the moment, she lived on.

 

Maybe like me TCW crew does not care for the events after Endor.

Ok, she can live, but Cad is another question.

 

Well, I didn't say I wanted it to happen in he film, just that I wondered if Lucas would do it. I was serious, though, when I said it would have bothered me an awful lot less than that nonsensical addition made to the Death Star II scene (I'm still trying to get used to that one).

I am curious to see if someone really skilled at using photo/video editing software could use the Duros in the scene and give us a glimpse at what a live action Cad Bane might look like, though. Maybe give us an idea of how Bane might appear in a spin-off film.

 

Boba Fett should be the one to take him out, but it shouldn't happen until Rebels.

I want both Cad Bane and Aurra Sing to survive the Clone Wars.

 

I just hope he appears in a live action movie (spin-off) at some point.

Well said. While I like Bane more than Boba and don't want to see him killed, it is the only thing that makes sense from a narrative perspective. Also would make Boba look even more intimidating in the OT.

 

I wondered if Boba & Bane might actually appreciate each other's style somewhat. Maybe Bane could be a mentor figure for Boba before being killed?

 

That's what I think should happen.

 

As much as I like the character I actually hope that he gets killed off in the bonus content since it would be a major character death and his death would make TCW era more unique and more worth revisiting so we could see him again.

 

He'll retire from Bounty Hunting before introducing his own line of hats:

"The Cad Bane Collection: Fashionable Headgear for the fashion conscious Bounty Hunter"

He'll be the hit of the intergalactic fashion circuit for years.

 

I wish we see him in Rebels. Maybe he could get killed by Boba, maybe not. We'll see.

 

I think Boba needs FTP handle Bane it just makes sense and then he would become the top bounty hunter.

I think it'd be great to have him in some assassination attempt of a Jedi, and then Order 66 happens. As an addendum to the destruction of Separatist leaders, clones and Vader' or an Inquisitor hunt him down.

 

Cad Bane making an appearance in Rebels would be cool. But I think it's a given we'll be seeing Boba Fett as the badass bounty hunter this time around, though.

 

I don't necessarily want him in Rebels, but it'll most likely be post TCW coverage.

 

I'd be surprised if we do see his fate. No Star Wars writer to date has dared to kill off one of the major bounty hunters.

Unless you count IG-88, that is.

 

I personally see Bane living past Episode III and, like Aurra, past Endor. If he did die, I don't really have an answer since I'm not on the whole "death by Boba" bandwagon.

 

I could see this happening.
