How does the US/SyFy Being Human compare to the BBC one?

 

I just watched season 3 of HBO's in Treatment for first time. Kind of a let down compared to previous seasons. The characters just weren?t as interesting. (SPOILER) The only guy I like was the foreigner who turned out to be a jerk.

Now I need to catch up on the rest of HBO like Big Love

 

Finally checkin out Season 8 of 24 on NetFlix.

 

SyFy's Being Human is a very pale copy of the BBC original.
The narrative thread of season 1 on SyFy will probably encompass the BBC's 1st 2 seasons, as it was aired as 6 episodes followed by 8. Season 3 on BBC has just started.
We watched the reviewer's screeners, with incomplete fx and temp music from Twilight, and weren't too disappointed, but not really impressed, either.

 

Well I just watched all season 3 of True Blood and all 5 seasons of kitchen nightmares. Still need to catch up on big love and fringe

Just watched season 4 of Big Love
This show is so good and very underrated. A lot people I talk to about this show, say I don?t want watch a show about that, but what they don?t realize is how complex the characters are and how those characters draw you in. This is something that makes most HBO?s shows worth watching regardless of the subject matter. Watching TV shows later on is the way to go because you don?t need to wait a week to see what happens next

I was surprised to see Bill won office and came public about his family. There was allot of good twist and turns, now I need to move onto season 5

I have been enjoying SyFy's Being Human but really want to check out the BBC version.

A new season of Destination Truth has begun... have it on DVR... cannot wait to catch up!

 

I am fascinated by the show oddities on the Science Channel...

They get some really freaky items (and people) in their shop!

 

GAME OF THRONES is premiering this weekend!!! Can't wait!

 

Arghh!! Wish I had HBO! I loved that series. Just skimmed through the first book again. I'm reading the second book in more detail right now.

I've been following Bones and introducing my husband to the first season by Netflix. We've already watched the first three seasons of the Big Bang Theory (borrowed from my sister). And I follow Supernatural when it has new episodes. I want to see Firefly eventually.

 

We recently started watching Dr. Who on Netflix. It's pretty enjoyable!

 

Falling Sky's is Good for an alien invasion show, I'm into it lately.

I've been watching a ton of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, that show is soooo good!

 

I've been addicted to TruTv with Hardcore Pawn and thier Monday evening shows. It's all reality, but I can't seem to get enough of watching stupid people do stupid things.

if there was a show with a monkey riding dog for an hour, I'd sit through it!

It's a great escape from real life for a while.
