Not really my kind of music and I'm quite harsh in needing to be impressed lots by singers, but it wasn't too bad! :)

Seems it's fashionable to leave the price tags on guitars now too? :p

[face_laugh] That video is of a once off acoustic show the abnd did. And As they dont play acoustic, they didn't have the guitars. So they just borrowed some from Alans Music (that's where the gig was)

Warning: long post and links. I hope at least someone finds something useful here.

For those that have no idea about what TISM are about, here's some links to 5 files. Once they are 'unrared' (you need to download an unrar program - I think winzip will do it or UnRarX on a Mac), you will have a copy of the TISM gig from Homebake in 98. The links will then give you a choice of other links to download. I recommend the megaupload links (one at a time unfortunately, but very fast).

A bit of a pain in the ass to get, they should have used torrents, but reasonably fast for a 500 meg movie file. But oh so worth it, if only to get, view and then tell me that TISM are rubbish ;) It's a really good/fun gig. I have one of these costumes for fancy dress parties and Costume Balls...

    Oh yeah, the links:

TISM - Live at the Club 1988

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E6THZ0ZI

mp4 file, use Quicktime or VLC to view it.

640x480, good audio and video quality, but unfortunately a big black border got put in when I encoded it. I'm not going to bother re-encoding it to be full frame at the moment, maybe later.

Root! - A great new band fronted by one of the lead singers of TISM. Torrent of the gig as shot by a bloke I met in Melbourne at one of their gigs, so it's fine to get. About 360 meg. He kept pulling the cord mic cord out - very funny.

    http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/4056216/Root__24-2-2008.avi.4056216.TPB.torrent

Anyway, this next link is for those of you who are skeptical about Root!. You can download a link to every track on the album (will play in iTunes or VLC or equivalent) from CD Baby.com. There's a two minute preview of each track - very generous. You can either buy the MP3s or CD from them, or from Australia via their myspace. Be aware that they're already recording a new album, but I dare you not to have tapping toes and at least a slight giggle at this stuff.

Uhm, Kipp I don't mean to be a slug to your reign but posting torrents makes you
an accomplice to piracy, and I'm sure the Force.net won't take kindly to it.

Rare as it maybe, be a little more subtle when it comes to posting "Downloadable" content.

Indeed it is, and submitting it publicly is just plain stupid. No offence Skipp.
But it is pretty dumb, cause the admins have ways of finding you, and passing it
    onto the police.
