"Primitive Love" by Tom Reeves on The Dr. Demento Show
I'm no Kanye West fan, but he has his moments; especially when he's backed up by Daft Punk (dressed as guards from "Tron" apparently):

"Around the world"
Yep, it's gone.
Currently: Lebanese Blonde - Thievery Corporation
the Magnetic Field's California Girls
"I hate California girls."
That was awesome....except for the Kanye West part.
That seems to be the consensus from most people, but I think he held his ground there. I would have preferred to just see some DP funness for 5 minutes, but the pairing turned out a lot better than I thought it would have.
Needs moar Daft.
It's good, no doubt. Bit I've got to agree with the Daft/Kanye ratios before me.
oh, and I'm listening to Vampire Weekend's Walcott
Combat Drop from the Aliens Soundtrack.
I might have to install AVP2 on my PC. That game was incredibly awesome.
"THEY'RE IN THE ROOM!!!"
DAB - The Blues (on the Sky.Fm Lounge station)
I've been listening to [link=http://www.sky.fm/]SKY.FM[/link] a lot lately...which is has some awesome free internet radio stations, especially if you like electronic music. They've got an old-school hip hop station and an 80's station that's pretty good as well. But I can study while listening to the Lounge station.
"This post was brought to you by Sky.FM."
I like Kanye okay.
In my head: "Down by the Bay," the Raffi version, cause it's on a CD my daughter loves.
the Destroyer's Looter's Follies
"Why can't you see that a life in arts, and a life of mimicry. It's the same thing!"
Everlasting Love from Katamari Damacy
I cannot stop listening to old school Metallica. Anything upto and including ...And Justice for All. I really miss the days of old when something would really kick your ass and then continue on to rock your face then move on to laying waste to everything within ear shot.* It seems nothing is new anymore.
Metallica - The Four Horsemen
*-The Dethalbum by Dethklok has actually done this recently for me. I was rockin out so hard I knocked the steering wheel lock off and the wheel was bouncing around.
Ash Like Snow by The Brilliant Green. It's pretty damn good.
Any some may know I will be going down to Florida for spring break. I will be driving the roughly 24 hour length solo and such, yeah I am crazy. Since we are on music and such, I was wondering what do many of you listen to while your driving and what suggestions do you have. I have a lot of material but could use some new stuff in addition to the books on tape, it is after all a long way down and long way back. I really need to get an mp3 player now that my new car has a hookup.
Being a veteran of long drives, I say ditch the music and go for books-on-tape. Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast...and it will also put you to sleep. Listening to an audio book keeps you more alert as you try to following the story. You can go to booksontape.com or audible.com and rent them, but I just go to the local library, find some that I like on CD, and rip them to MP3 at home.
As for the MP3 player, you'd be hard pressed to beat the [link=http://www.buy.com/prod/sandisk-sansa-e260-4gb-mp3-player-fm-tuner-fm-on-the-fly-recording/q/loc/111/205537110.html]SanDisk Sansa e260[/link] plus a [link=http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroSD-TransFlash-Adapter-SDSDQ-2048/dp/B000K3IZ0O/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1204144460&sr=8-1]2GB microSD card[/link]. $70 gets you a 6GB flash-based MP3/video player that has a microphone (that you can record from) and an FM tuner (that you can also record from).
Muppet Movie soundtrack--you can sing along to stay awake.
"One way, or another"
This is old-school tech Peaches but Cracker Barrel has a nationwide audio book rental service. Rent at one Cracker Barrel, return to the next one. It made our drive to LA bearable; we rarely listened to music but finished a couple books on the drive.
Listening to Steely Dan. Eat me.
Entombed - Chief Rebel Angel
I've been behind on my Entombed. They have had an album out for a long while that I haven't picked up. This must be rectified.
Also I learned that Metal Haven is still alive and VERY close to my house! YES!!!! \m/
It is **** awesome.
You gettin' all the heavy sh!t outta yer system before the kid arrives? If that's the case, don't forget [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLW8KaIv32I]these freaks[/link], [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzwXWkfuKEA]those gals[/link], [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riwljRPdc6U]this guy[/link], and of course [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoLkaGcpJFA]this[/link] (tho I still prefer the original.
