Fun what song are you listening to? (v. 47) - Embedded Video Heavy

Chance deserves every Grammy he won tonight. I saw him live a few months back when he played at my school for our homecoming weekend, and the mood was electric when this came on; there wasn't a single person sitting down.

 

Don't even mention the Grammys right now. I'm absolutely furious at how they treated two of my favorite bands.

Exhibit A: After 12 nominations, Megadeth finally won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance. However, instead of playing one of Megadeth's songs, the Grammys played Mastet of Puppets, a Metallica song that's not even associated with Megadeth (not only had Dave Mustaine been out of the band for 3 years when that song came out, he didn't even write the damn thing).

Exhibit B: Just when you thought giving that one Grammy to Jethro Tull was the last time Metallica would ever get screwed by the Grammys, think again. It happened again today. After weeks of advertising Metallica to perform at the Grammys, they don't even get announced by name when they go onstage to perform their own song...that they wrote and recorded themselves with a guest appearance with Lady Gaga, and to add insult to injury, James Hetfield's mic ain't even working! I found this out on Twitter, since I decided to boycott the Grammys a long time ago on the account of the only category I'm even interested in not even being awarded on the live telecast. This is equally as insulting as Jeff Hanneman being completely omitted from the "In memory of" section (and Hanneman was a 2 time winner of this very same establishment)!

So seriously...F the Grammys! You a-holes owe us a LOT of apologies!

Yeah, I feel Grammy frustration. I'm still pissed To Pimp a Butterfly lost Album of the Year last year.

 

I stopped taking the Grammys seriously after learning about the Metallica/Jethro Tull debacle. That entire ceremony is a farce.
