Ha ha, Tupac's dead. How fitting! [face_laugh]

I'm nearly 24. So I'm not thinking about a funeral just yet.

"Eric's Theme" from Chariots of Fire by Vangelis.

Or if we have to go to songs, "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2.

EDIT: Why? "Eric's Theme" is as close as I can get to "Amazing Grace" without the words, and...well...you work the second one out. ;)

Any song by Rooney, or a ballad by Jay Chow (i have no idea what he says in his songs, but they rock).

Pff, funeral. I'm not going to die. But if I had to fake my death and assume a new identity, I'd choose something by Barry White, something different like that, as funerals are always so weepy.

Heh, I still can't get beyond the idea of 2Pac at a funeral. All the mourners turned out in their black FuBu, and then there's a 21 gun salute, only it's not done with rifles but with Glock 17 handguns, all fired side on. Instead of saying Amen, they say "Fo' real" and instead of blessing themselves by drawing the cross, they make Westside gestures with their hands. [face_laugh]

You gotta admit, it is kinda funny! :D

Weird, I have sort of thought about this before.

I think the track is called "Light Of The Force", from Anakin's funeral pyre scene in ROTJ. Doubt it'd actually get played though. :p

Gotta Knock a Little Harder by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts from Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. :D

    Or

Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan

Interesting side note, "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is the Japanese title for the Bebop movie. :p

I'd like (at present) the slow orchestral arrangement of Your Song from Moulin Rouge.
No lyrics, just resonating cellos and crying flutes.

I'd probably like a hymn of some description, or perhaps a nice recessional piece, that would be rather fitting I think.

As for a more Contempory song, I think "Gone Away" by The Offspring would have to be it.

That would most probably be me then kahli.

Although something more haunting and instrumental would be fitting, but I haven't come across one that fits yet.

    Tears in Heaven...for a starter.

Then as the six Imperial Officers carry me out with a Stormtrooper honour gaurd, they can strike up the Inperial March.

    WHY? Silly question. :)

Gorecki is more of a wedding song, Sil, than a funeral song. Gabriel is a more mellancholy Lamb song.

why would their glocks be sideways?

You know, how ganstas can't shoot properly, and they always seem to be holding dey guns side on in movies etc? :p
