JediPriestess, you're right, rock songs don't belong in Star Wars but that isn't the point of the thread. It's "what...would...depict anakin's feelings..."

I love NIN and I think plenty of those match perfectly with what Anakin goes through. I especially love the machine/wires symbolism. In The Becoming the lyrics even sing to a girl "Annie" which might be "Ani" right? Hehe.
