I would like to see more EU species.

I was really pleased to see the Selkath get acknowledged by a higher level of canon. For me it just seems like validation, that they will forever be acknowledged as part of the canon now.

Really, as many as they can squeeze in (so long as it's appropriate), the better. I wouldn't mind seeing Chiss. Doesn't have to be Thrawn, someone else would be fine. Cathar as well.

As far as established species, I thought the H'nemthe would be interesting. They look and sound interesting in regards to their EU depictions and backstory, but in ANH they were represented by a really clumsy, unarticulated mask. I'd like to see one in animation where they have more freedom for things like facial expressions.

Would also like to see some species associated with the CIS, outside of the realm of commerce though. Like Neimoidians post downfall of the Trade Federation, etc.

 

Cathar, hopefully. Nautolan and Kel Dor. Zeltron? Some more Falleen, TCW-style?

If they go wth the species already based off McQuarrie's art, he'd be a Lasat, but he looks different enough from the original design to be something else, too.

I would like to see even gungans Honestly, now it's even possible to see Jar Jar die if that makes all those gunganhaters feel bit better... I would really like to see imperial Naboo at least.

At least ithorians,grans, aqualish, weequay, bothans and bith would be nice to see on their homeworlds.

Kashyyyk, Mon Cala, Malastare and Geonosis would also be nice to see as imperialized world's with their populations enslaved and/or subjugated. Ryloth seems probable because Hera Syndulla is in the show.

A small surviving colony of the Sith species should be discovered on a remote planet somewhere, living a relatively low-tech existence. Because they were a cool species and didn't deserve what happened to them. And it would be great if they were discovered to not be fully extinct.

 

Yes, and would be interesting to see if Grievous or actually Qymaen jai Sheelal is still remembered among his people.

 

I'd love it if they side with the Rebels.

ewoks are not really traveling across the space so that's why- I am not having issues with ewoks otherwise. Of course if they go to Endor for some reason.
