    Lonewolf89, there is a wookie jedi in the EU that lived in the Old Republic. His name is Tyvokka. He is a jedi master, and was once part of the jedi council along with Mace and Yoda and others.

    Ooryl's a Gand Rouge Squadron pilot. I don't know much else about him, though.

    Movie-wise, I'd like to see a Mon Calamari, Bothan, Duros, or Quarren with a lightsaber :D

    I really don't want to see species I've already seen in previous films. One thing I like about the Star Wars universe is its vastness and endless array of characters. I hope to see many new characters over the course of the next two films.

    Actually, I hope that AOTC and Episode III take a departure from TPM. Although there was some diversity among the Jedi council, the members were primarily human or humanoid.
