    Why can't he be in both?

    I'm not advocating it, mind you, but with a few exceptions I don't see why cross-franchise casting is a bad thing.

    Cumberbatch was really great in Trek so I sure wouldn't mind if he came aboard for Wars.

    Definitely right about that. Some people will complain no matter what kind of talent were brought on. Hopefully some would realize though that SW could only benefit from having talented actors like Cumberbatch on board. No matter what other films he's been in.

    It is sad that no matter who is cast they will never be good enough in fans minds till AFTER the movie comes out. If its an unknown/semi unknown some people will complain they dont have enough experience. If they are known, people will complain that they're too big name or might fear they'll overshadow the OT3 or new heroes. There is legit no right answer on who to cast. But yes...I want Cumberbatch and nobody will convince me otherwise.

    You can't please everyone I guess and I don't think they should even try. Some people are just determined to be negative about everything they read for one reason or another. I simply choose to be positive until they give me a significant reason to be negative (after I see the first movie) . We have two years until Episode VII is released so I just find it rather silly to get worked up over the smallest most minute details we have right now. That's just my opinion though.
