Spring, MO What to do

What would you like to see the Springfield, MO FanForce do this year?
I for one would like to see regular meetings start up again with maybe a movie or bowling night thrown in from time to time.
We have alot of members lets get active!

 

I agree, we need to start the monthly meeting again.

As Matt and Bob can attest, I have been somewhat incognito.

But now, I have weekends off again. WHOOHOO!!!!

Monthly Meeting...Tentative, possibly a joint meeting with RL and 501st.

Adopt-a-street...Definitely, just need to come up with a time and date of availability for those that want to help.

Bowling...?

Movie Outings...A must

BBQ...?

Gaming night...?

Nature Center...As a heavy drop myself, I would go for this.

And of course,

Convention Trips...In addition to any KC cons.

Any other ideas?

 

I was trying to see what conventions might be heading to Springfield, as I always do despite the fact that usually nothing does, when I ran across this. If I might make a suggestion, Springfield hasn't seen a convention in 15 years - that I'm aware of. Only ones I'm aware of were the two Star Trek Conventions of the early 90's. I think its time to see if we could get one organized, no matter if its Star Wars, Comic, Star Trek, whatever.

 

Springfield has had a convention every year but last. It was called Vision-Con. Everyone in Springfield is trying to get something for this year though. All I can say is keep an eye open.

 

Ok. 2008 was a pretty quiet year for us here at the Springfield FF. 2009 is just around the corner and for those of you that have not heard Visioncon will be taking place at the Clarion at the end of JANUARY instead of Febuary like it usually is. This is an excellent opportunity to kick off the FF year for us so come on down, show some love, hang out with the other FF members as well as members from the Rebel Legion and the 501st. I would like to see the monthly meetings start up again at the library. Norm. Anyway to get that going again?
