    Drop Bears you say?

Well, I studied them in Uni Biology. Even did a project on them.

They are a carnivorous form of koala. They are are a marsupial (lay eggs) but they are the only marsupial that is carnivorous. Drop bears are related to wombats just as koalas are. They are not a bear, just as a koala is not a bear. Their scientific name is Phascolarctos involus.

Physically a Drop Bear looks very similar to the koala except that they of course have the well developed canines and teeth of a carnivorous animal. The females usually give birth to twins although 3 or 4 kits (baby drop bears) have been known. Some australian zoos have them on show, simply ask a zoo keeper or one of he locals where their exhibit is.

One of the key things about Drop Bears is the females can come on heat at almost any time of year. This makes them unique in the animal kindom. Combine this random heat and the fact that drop bears are near sighted, they can sometimes mistake a bushwalkers head for the back of a very sexy female.

Needless to say wear a helmet when you are in the bush.

Yes, that was my lovely wife on Temptation.

She did fairly well I think.

Poor girl, we were supposed to be flying to Queensland at 7pm on that night, but our flight got delayed....so we were sitting in the departure lounge with all these people watching the TV.

People kept looking at the screen, then looking across at her, then back to the screen.......funny stuff.

Oh it's not that dangerous here.

I mean you have poisonous plants, fauna, Fooshie, fish, snakes, Evil, the parklands at night, the danger of falling into the Torrens at anytime of the day...

Oh you get used to it, and do beware of Redbacks, camping once and forgeting to shake out my jeans ended with a massive bite on my rear-end and no anti-venoum, for it was two days to the nearest hospital, ment I was sick as a dog till I managed to get to a doctor.

But it only kills children really, adults can shake it off.

    Snakes?

Animals just waiting to fall on my head?

Alright... after seeing this thread I am seriously reconsidering any thoughts I may have had about ever visiting Adelaide!  *shudders*

...and here I thought the common mosquito was an evil preditor![face_worried]

Naw, I don't scare that easily! But I am very squeamish at the thought of your monster spiders...the rest I can handle! [face_batting] ...I'll just have the most handsome guy around come to my rescue :D
