Obviuosly the next 2 Star Wars episodes,
Planet of the Apes, it may have an exboy-band member in it, but it is directed by Tim Burton,
The Matrix 2, Lord of the RIngs,
And I have heard rumours of Aliens Vs Predator, anyone able to confirm this?

I'm looking forward to Enemy at the Gates and Pearl Harbour. There isn't too much coming up that interests me.

As for Aliens Vs Predator, there have been rumours of that happening for years.

My first thought on hearing about the Planet of the apes remake was "why?" Sure they could do it up with more modern and impresive special effects but does it really need to be done? I don't think so. Maybe Tim Burton can do an ok job but to me that just seems like a series that should be left alone.

Anyway - I'm looking forward to Lord of the Rings most of all apart from Episode II & III. One thing I've always been into just as much as Starwars is Tolkien's writings. I used to be a regular on alt.fan.tolkien
Most other movies I can think of are sequels. Matrix etc.
Mummy returns looks like more of the same but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't mind seeing Tomb Raider but more because I'm curious to see if Angelina Jolie can actually pull it off. I really can't see her as Lara Croft. As a fan of the PC games (and not just because Lara Croft's got a nice behind ;)) she just seems wrong to me but she may prove me wrong. Tomb Raider is the sort of thing that could make a fantastic movie but it could just as easily make a real lemon. We'll see soon enough.

Well pretty much all of the above.

I can add to that though:

    Scary Movie 2
    Blade 2
    Jurassic Park 3 (Still Wondering)
Scooby Doo (Sarah Michelle Gellar, WHOO HOO!)
    Doctor Who
Duke Nukem (Yes it is coming, Ive confirmed this)
Final Fantasy (only for the VFX)
    Indiana Jones IV
    Superman Lives
SpiderMan (not till 2002 now though :( )

I could go on but they don't come out for awhile :)

I've got to get out more, I wouldn't have a clue what movies are coming out soon or in the future. Other than SW and LOTR, they're the only ones that really excite my interest.

VFX: Visual Effects, its nothing like Special Effects.

Special Effects: real explosions, pyrotechnics etc.

Visual Effects: All CG, done on the computer.

    You get the point.

Try this iste for upcoming cool movies:

I want to go see Hanibal which has just come out in NZ but I haven't seen silence of the lambs yet so I went to the Vid store to get it out but every store was out of copies. I guess everyone had the same Idea. [face_plain]

Hannibal is so much different to Lambs. See Lambs first just to get into the two characters though.

My problem was a bit more complicated than SWNZ's problem. I also haven't seen it for a long time (since the cinema release in fact) but my video library's copy has been stolen. I'll need to go elsewhere I guess.

I was at the video library tonight and they're not bothering to get the Silence of the Lambs video. They're waiting until they get it on DVD in a couple of weeks. I'm happy enough with that.
