The Price is Right, of course!

I also seem to recall watching Saved by the Bell, but I don't know why it would be on then so maybe I'm just making that up.

Definitely this. Though I got to see it every day, as long as I had no extracirricular activities after school and ran right home.

Repeats of that morning's SportsCenter, until I pretty much had it memorized. And then, of course, The Price is Right.

Maybe not. TBS used to air a lot of Saved by the Bell reruns in the 10 and 11 am timeslots in the late 90s till about the middle '00s. So it's possible you caught a rerun here and there of it.

I'm surprised no one has said Sesame Street. Then again, my family didn't get cable until I was 14 years old, so I stuck with PBS until that happened.

I watched that every day after school. It came on at 4:00, followed by Mister Rogers at 5:00 and The Electric Company at 5:30.

This is when Morgan Freeman was on The Electric Company and before Cookie Monster started eating fruit.

I didn't have cable before I was about 10 years old so I grew up on PBS. I probably would have anyway because my parents are that type.

All the Henson muppets are creepy. The lower jaws are fixed and the entire head is on a hinge. That looks perverse.

What were you people doing watching Sesame Street when you were in school? That show is for preschoolers.

I'm British, and on visiting America at 14, The Price Is Right introduced me to people clapping for no apparent reason, which still mildly bugs me today, so no, it wouldn't have been that show.

If there was a film in the afternoons, Columbo. More to see who the lieutenant is going to annoy the sith out of, today, rather than a whodunnit! :)

It wasn't in the 70s. There were segments on it then that taught addition, and Spanish words.

It became really preschool oriented when Elmo came on board.
