Not really. It would seem that Palpatine has underestimated Maul, and wouldn't think that Maul would end up doing something of this quality and pulling it off with a Sidious like way. Seeing Maul take over Mandalore pretty easily and how easily he created an "army" jumps him to the top of the list and Sidious probably sees it as a thing he has to take care of it himself, he doesn't trust Dooku with this.

After Eminence, it's pretty obvious why Sidious will take care of it himself.

No it isn't. If he trained Maul to the point that he can fight two Jedi at once, Palps can take two Sith on his own. Don't forget that Palpatine is the top dog and pretty much the most powerful Sith of all time. Its nice to see him get off his butt and put in his own work for once.

No I've read the Shadow Conspiracy, Sidious owned Maul brother easily, so Dooku should have no problem with a few elite guards. Also Maul was willing to serve him, he greatly feared his master.

If Palpatine's identity is exposed in this action ,then all of his plan would be ruined, thus go by himself=Stupid.

Just let Dooku bring a few elite droids, even those pirates owned the brothers badly.

It's not Palpatine could not beat them but his identity could be exposed, he got Dooku and Anakin to take care of Maul brothers, why should he go by himself?

Because he wants to. Sometimes even the Dark Lord wants to kill some fools.

Also, he may fear that Dooku will lose and he is still needed for the time being.

Lol. I haven't looked at any spoilers for this show, so I'm just speculating.

It still remains to be seen what Maul's endgame is after creating his own faction. He knows the Clone Wars started without him, which was orchestrated by Sidious, and that the Jedi are at war with Dooku and the Separatists, of which he despises both. He declares that both he and his brother are the "TRUE LORDS OF THE SITH", and has called Savage his apprentice, and yet mentions in "revenge" that he was apprenticed to the most powerful being in the galaxy. If he saw Sidious as a still-credible threat, why not expose him? Dooku had alluded to it in Ep. II, makes sense if the previous sith apprentice also presented the same conclusion.

Who says Maul doesn't plan to expose him? That's a big reason why Sidious goes to Mandalore to face him as we saw in the trailers, instead of Dooku going there.

Palpatine wants to make absolute sure Maul stays dead, that's why we see him confront Maul and his brother. Dooku and Anakin may screw it up, in any case. Sidious would not.

    No
Maul was damn scared of his master and swore loyalty when he just showed up.

Why would Dooku and Anakin screw up? They both hate Maul a lot and knew he came back from "death" so they would make sure he's dead.

If you think about it, everything that's going on with the galaxy should amuse and be welcomed by Palpatine. He's now got many reasons to justify his emergency powers and using the clone army to protect his position of power.

It would seem to me that Palpatine would think of how to use every monkey wrench to his advantage which Maul doesn't really seem like one. I think he is going to unintentionally help Palpatine by giving regular Joes in the galaxy more reason to distrust the Jedi as this Mandalore thing unfolds into chaos.

I think Lucas' whole idea of the Clone Wars is to make the Jedi look bad.

Yep, so it makes it easier for the masses to buy his Jedi coup lie and to make them the enemy.
