Well, the CD's I just bought were Amy Grant's Rock of Ages and Green Day's American Idol.

I have always enjoyed Amy's music before she crossed over to the mainstream. I really like the style of music that her husband brings to her most recent albums.

Green Day - well they speak for themselves.

I like reading the CD covers and such even though we are starting to purchase downloads on-line. We don't have an I-POD or MP3 yet. I think I am getting to old to try all this new techno stuff; I usually just follow my husband's lead concerning computers. We've talked about getting Palm pilots for anniversary gifts for each other or maybe the new cell phones, too.

    Sorry to digress from music.

The Well-Tempered Synthesizer by Wendy Carlos. It's more extensive than her first album Switched-On Bach because it features various works, featuring different Baroque Era styles, by four composers.

I picked up Chutes Too Narrow by the Shins. Yes Garden State did nudge me towards their music, but they're a great band. It's too bad radio can't find a place for groups like this.

Monty Python's Spamalot. [face_laugh] If you're a Python fan, or like Broadway musicals, I strongly recommend you get this CD. A word of caution: don't listen to it at work, or when you're trying to do something serious. You'll be laughing too hard.

I bought a Sony Classical recording of Anton Bruckner's "Romantic" Symphony conducted by Eka Pekka Solonenn today. It was on sale, and I had just enough to buy it.
