Iron Man 2... for the first time. I don't know how it escaped me for so long.
But I presume you are now glad it was delayed for as long as it was?
Pirates of the Caribbean....the first one. The Black Pearl one. The only one.
My kids wanted to watch it.
I watched Pitch Perfect a few nights ago. It was actually pretty funny.
Pitch Perfect is hilarious and the singing dancing is rather impressive, and vastly entertaining if you're into that kind of thing. My wife and I watched it twice a week or two ago, and laughed ourselves silly both times.
The Town, I am a pretty big fan of Affleck and Jeremy Renner is great. I still need to see Argo, though.
A Good Day to Die Hard...terrible movie
Sunset Boulevard. Still relevant today.
21 and Over... I went to this film with extremely low expectations, and though I laughed a bit more than I thought I would (because there was bound to be a chuckle or two), it still was tremendously formulaic*, devoid of any real substance, and annoying in it's insistence that you have to an insane night out on your 21st birthday, as opposed to merely getting hammered in a respectable way.
*Last year's Project X had all of these same problems (except it's characters being high school folk), but at least that film had something different going for it: the film shot from the POV of either a video camera (recorded by a friend of the main characters)/cell phone cameras).
Last Action Hero - Ironically this meta-movie send-up of Hollywood excess is filled-to-bursting with genuine Hollywood excess - 5/10
tunes, this movie is for you.
Chronicle of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Was finally able to watch this movie, really good
I recently watched "Warm Bodies"
The Sky Crawlers
Was recommended this animé a long time ago. So long ago that I don't remember who recommended it, but I think it was a film mag. I liked it thematically, but it was rather depressing. The animation and artwork is gorgeous, and the sound is rich as well. It's rather slow and lingering, so you'll have to bear with it to get to the pay-off of the narrative. But it has some interesting ideas. I liked it.
4 out of 5.
Fantastic movie, loved it
Here Comes The Boom.
Jack and the Giant Slayer in 3d. The 3d was excellent, the movie wasn't that bad either.
How was it? I'm kind of interested in going to see it.
And I watched The Impossible the other day. Very good and touching film. I also thought Fernando Velazquez's score was great; it actually reminded me a bit of Morricone.
Safety Not Guaranteed
I got into it actually and I liked it. I didn't think I would.
aka Kevin James eats at Taco Bell.
Awesome movie, Liam Neeson, fantastic as always
Agreed. The Grey made my personal top-5 of 2012 list.
Dredd - With a pinch of The Raid: Redemption, a dash of RoboCop and a tablespoon of Dirty Harry, this extremely well made (and violent) B-movie presents a very different type of "comic book movie" than we're used to - 7/10
Chronicle. It was better than I thought it would be. Good acting, mostly realistic consequences, though the "found footage" format had to find some pretty implausible excuses for cameras to be around and it sometimes fell victim to high school and bullied kid cliches.
Flying High/Airplane. That was a good bit of fun - better than the Naked Gun, I couldn't manage the first few minutes of that (too many sexist jokes)
Final Destination 2
Good movie, enjoy the FD series
