I've been binge watching this series about a Vietnam vet returning to his life in seventies America and getting sucked into assassination work. Pretty gripping, with good acting and decent writing. Violence and nudity abound.

Goodnight, Seattle the series finale of Frasier.

I've watched all eleven seasons on Netflix over the past year. I don't think I saw every episode during its television run but I enjoyed every re-watch of this funny show. Frasier, Niles and Marty Crane play off each masterfully. A well-written and executed sit-com, despite the laugh track.

Star Wars Rebels: Twilight of the Apprentice.

Ahsoka vs Vader. I never got into the CGI Clone Wars cartoon, or bought into the idea that the Jedi would actually let Anakin train someone, but if you were a fan of all that, this episode was incredible. Heck, I thought it was incredible and I'm only a casual viewer.

Johnathon Creek - Daemons Roost 2016 Xmas special. The most recent run of this series was a bit of a letdown, they seemed to lose the core of what made this show good, however this one was much better. A woman returns to her family home to find out what in the house killed her mum and 2 sisters years previously and what is the mystery of the demonic rituals of family legend. It doesn't hit the heights of the show when it was in its heyday, but was a decent enough entry. For anyone who's never seen it, it's a quirky English detective series about cases that seem impossible to solve with a mix of black comedy and thriller and only the titular character can solve them.

Stranger Things finished the final 6 episodes yesterday. Absolutely loved this, one of my favourite shows for a long time. Helped in no small part with how well it captured the 80s in every way and came across as a show not just set in the 80s, but as if it was made in the 80s. It was a cross between the X files, the goonies and super 8 with great performances all around. The pacing of the show was excellent with each episode leaving me wanting more, of course there were a couple of convieniences that happened (for instance how easily the sheriff broke into the lab). But overall this really was a fantastic show and I loved the idea of a dark alternate dimension. Looking forward to see what happens with season 2.

Sherlock - the 6 Thatchers I approached this one with some trepedation as I think the last series and 2015's xmas special were a case of the writers trying to be too clever, they were almost winking to the audience throughout and were (IMO) becoming a parody. However this episode was a return to form, based on the 6 Napoleons with something hidden by a criminal in one of the busts.
