The Fall Guy: S1 Ep. 3 "The Rich get Richer" (1981) - Plot; Colt tries to capture a white collar securities thief preparing to leave the country, but runs into roadblocks from the criminal agency setting up his escape and an insurance agent trying to get to him first.

The Fall Guy is never going to force you to use that other %90 of your brain that we supposedly leave untapped. And of the %10 we do use, I'd say it probably won't force you to use more than %1. But you get a lot of bang for your brain power buck, as the entertainment returns are %100 every time. This is really just a fun show. The main cast is very likeable, led by Lee Majors. If you only know him as Steve Austin, you really need to give an episode of The Fall Guy a watch. He just exudes a natural, easy going good 'ole boy charm that greases any squeaky plot gears an episode may have. Combined with fun stunts and a good dose of humor, The Fall Guy is 80s action TV in the best sense of the word. - 7.5/10

Battlestar Galactica: S1 Ep. 8 "The Magnificent Warriors" (1978) - Plot; When a Cylon attack destroys two of its fleet's agricultural ships and damages a third, Adama and a team from the Galactica go to a nearby planet hoping to trade a power generator for new seed.

Pretty standard basic plot with some rather silly contrivances throw in, 'cause 70s, but there's a lot to like here. First, it opens smack dab in the middle of a pretty intense and rather well done (on a technical level) dogfight between Colonial Vipers and Cylon Raiders. Easily the best bit of ship to ship space combat in the series yet. The rest of the episode is rather lighthearted, standing in stark contrast to the dire circumstances of the fleet. What normally might've been a recipe for high drama is instead used mostly for humor. Thankfully it works, largely due to a pair of fine guest performances. First is Brett Somers, a member of the fleet who owns the power generator the Galactica wishes to use. She uses this to leverage time with Adama, who she has a major crush on. Somers gives a playfully charming performance, working well in contrast with the very sober and dignified Lorne Greene. The other strong performance comes from Barry Nelson, perhaps best known as the first actor to play James (or Jimmy) Bond, playing against type as the semi-crooked political leader of the outpost the Galactica crew visit.

I think this would've worked better had they shelved the humor and focused instead on the drama of the fleet's food crisis and the ploy to get the new seed, but the humor is pulled off well enough that the episode still works, albeit on a different level. - 7/10

Another Period second season premiere. Lilian and Beatrice seek out Harriet Tubman for advice on how to be famous, and instead
end up going over Niagara Falls in a barrel (it's 1903. okay?).

O.J.: Made In America- Parts I-III... every bit as incredible & enthralling as many people have made it out to be, even with the re-hashing of a lot familiar information; people speaking on each side will piss you off.

Some episodes of Ancient Aliens. I dunno man, this show, it's getting to the point they're repeating stuff to fill episodes, and it's like mankind never had an original idea that wasn't attributed to aliens, even classic sci-fi TV shows.like Lost in Space (Apparently, they didn't get the memo that Irwin Allen was like, "Let's take Swiss Family Robinson,,,,but set it in space!"). I don't think I can watch this show in an ironic, laugh and point at it way anymore.
